Also for the record, I reached out to Jersh before writing this library and there is a consensus that this library's existence doesn't meaningfully break kiwiflare in any way. Kiwiflare is simply there to limit how quickly shitty IoT devices can connect by making them do a bunch of expensive hash computations (Layer 7 DDoS mitigation). This library does the same hashing algorithm as your browser does on kiwiflare challenge pages.

For the files you downloaded from 4chan, as in Hiroshima's shitheap, to be in any way suspect, you'd have to download files posted by faggots using the 'ecker, and for you to be in any way in trouble is to repost such files. Chances for you to have such files are slim, and the feds know better than to try and get to anyone who ever posted a specific file where they would have no idea that it has something nasty embedded within it, that's not how feds operate for you to be paranoid about them knocking your door down.

What's more likely is that if they manage to get the hang of David's shit and if they bother to do all this shit, they will track down the entire snail trail he left with the help of Hiroshima, connect the dots and only target those faggots that have a consistent pattern behind them, noting that any repost of an offending file from a completely unique IP is just a side effect of what David was doing. It's only a crime on paper. In reality, it's only a crime if you commit a DDoS against a corporation that owns a few politicians in Congress.

in one of the leaked php files from the hack, i read that the image compression utility, jpegtran, at one point did the job at removing embeds. not sure about jpegoptim, optipng, or oxipng.
 
Unless it's specifically utilizing a C2, it's not considered entirely high priority if it's not a public interest entity; that being said, this is good knowledge to have regardless.

DDOSing is technically illegal in the same way a Pandora box is. Grey line technicality, no one is actually going to slap charges on you about it, unless you specifically do something that pisses off a particular group of people with it; but if its discovered in the seizure of assets during another investigation, its something tacked on as a mitigating factor.

Case in point, let's say I own a database of emulated games I do not own the rights for, and distribute them. ISP's and IP holders may ree about it, but if the loss is not greater than $500,000, or I am not committing theft or fraud, or injecting people with viruses, no one cares enough to launch a charge. However, let's say, I'm arrested on a drug charge, and a search of my home shows that I am hosting said emulation network, then I'm fucked and it's an additional charge to what ordinarily be a 2-5 year sentence depending on the size, complexity and scope of the network.

Kind of like how they got Al Capone; wasn't for the racketeering, murder for hire, or arms/drug trade; nope, it was for tax evasion. Everything else was just a mitigating factor.
 
Another factor to consider is it's much more productive for law enforcement to go after the ones creating and running the botnets used to facilitate most DDoS attacks. The people who rent them out are overwhelmingly otherwise harmless retards who have a grudge and bit of extra money to throw around, often targeting low-value targets like random Internet forums or minecraft servers. Ironically, the big corporate attacks that would interest law enforcement most are often done by the botnet operators themselves as an easy and effective way to advertise their new services in the mainstream media. Once they have name recognition, they fuck off back into the shadows and let the spite money roll in.

Remember: DDoSing is the Internet equivalent of clogging a toilet. It takes equally as much skill too.

I did try to tell people to always use a VPN and never go bare-IP'd to his website lol. You have as much chance of getting raided for shitposting through a random proxy as Leto does of getting a wash this side of Christmas, so I wouldn't worry too much. If you used it for nefarious means like posting illegal shit though, that's entirely on you.

Someone really, really fucking wants to bury this thread and we all know who. I have noticed a lot of "letoposting" though with people posting both his facedoxes and his name, which shows the organic users of the board are aware and equally want him gone.

R.E the recent DDoS attacks, all this evidence needs to be collated and officially logged, ideally by Null himself or senior staff. Don't let me tell you how to run your website don't get me wrong but this is the first thing I'd be doing. Keeping a solid record along with his admission should it ever come to court, you know how unhinged these cows get and he wouldn't be the first, either.

I wonder if /pol/ is being raided by these freaks or if /pol/'s discovery of the ban evasion platform has caused lots of of them to start using it themselves? Is this something we need to get ahead of? Because I wonder what would happen if more of the site started using the thing. I feel like it would somehow embolden these pedos and could even potentially make 4chan itself look complicit to the feds for all we know.

the backup urls are being posted every day now on multiple boards and generals (likely by leto himself)
90% of people in the bigger generals openly admit to using it
