Was he as bad a con as Nick, or just stupid?
Ty strikes me as someone who was painfully out of his depth for the moment and intent on capitalizing his five minutes of fame for his business, but not actively trying to con people. Ty's problem is that he tried to go too far outside his lane and made himself look like a dumbass.

My vote goes to stupid.
Did he have a case? Yeah -- but it wasn't going to be the easy, slam dunk Nick made it out to be.
Many people are tempted by the siren call of the easy lawsuit. There's no such thing. Especially multi-party litigation with multiple independent tort-feasors where you're asserting vicarious liability on their employer and each of them is entitled to an anti-SLAPP.

Total clusterfuck from the case's inception, and Vic should have listened to the first two lawyers.

I think there was an element of, Ty was at the point in his career (at least pre-COVID) where he was doing the handshakes and signing off on things, but his team was doing a lot of the actual lawyering and contract writing. You can see Nick kind of hint at that with the reaction to some of the filings (some of the initial ones weren't great). I think Ty was rusty at in-court practice (if he ever had it), and wasn't used to the day to day stuff. Like not keeping up on things about remote notary. Or when you need testimony notarized. Which proved fatal to Vic's case.

BUT... let's not forget what a fuck up judge Chupp was. Chupp and Ty were equal fuckups.

The funniest shit though was when Nick brought Branca on with Ty, and Branca dropped his "appeals are for losers" spiel, after Vic had lost his case, and Ty kind of winced. Truth stings.

Aaron addresses the fake / multiple SP theory and jokes about it. Aaron also addresses the Mersh/Ralph/Balldo? love quadrangle with icepussydaggerteeth1488taenzerin, but it's mostly just shitting on Mersh.

I think this is a good read. If you look at the Google reviews for Beard and Harris (Bullock and Hughs have left the practice along with most of the Amazons, apparently) it is mostly reviews for Christine Ross and her work for the last 5-7 years.

Ty might be the deal-maker and bring in and retain the clients by golfing, drinking, and smoking with them. This is a valid role, but not one that makes you fit for court room practice.

It was a shitstorm of multiple proportions. Vic really got screwed with the personalities involved.

Judicial Officer: Schultz, Heidi E.
Index #76

Aaron Imholte continues to stack Ls , as Judge Heidi E. Schultz reviews and DENIES his request for weekend jail stints.
Schultz is so disinterested in his argument that she provides a two sentence directive as an overlay to his request filing. No reasoning or argument. Get in the cell, toe man.
Aaron is now due to attend jail for 8 days straight from this Friday.

Nick Rekieta has taken this news with an expected level of glee.
We are seeing a rapid uptick in (Manic Nick) behavior. Could we be in for a new Balldo Season 2 arc?

Hopefully this is finally the end of the radio fantasy and all associated nonsense and Aaron can get out and just be a relatively normal offline person. Or at worst run a youtube channel with uploads not the pointless endless begging live crap.
But also hopefully this triggers enough of a childish acting out from Rekieta that he hits some sort of jackpot again.

Well done Nick you locked up your ex gay lover. Pour yourself a drink and do a bump of coke and fire up a livestream! You’re practically invincible and a genius so no worries about those Scandinavian prudes coming down on you again

🥃:really:

Another WIN for the Balldo!

Nick had jailhouse stories from his 2 days in the clink after his arrest, maybe Aaron can rack up some good stories and actually be interesting on his show for once.

BTW - Nick is DEFINITELY going to swing by Aaron's house while he's in the slammer. He's too passive and feminine to do anything direct like vandalize it or break in, but he's definitely going to sit in his car on the street and fantasize about his upcoming revenge plots, while also reminiscing about the good ol days when he was taking The Toe in that house.

Aaron - just let your show be offline for the week, for the love of God DO NOT do some shit like let Keanu or Geno guest host. They WILL talk about Kayla you fuckin retard, don't do it.

Not shocked he didn't get it.

I really do wonder what crimes DO get approved for intermittent service. Because, if this didn't... I'm not sure what other nonviolent crime might.

He should really do a call in to Johnny.

They seemed to be a "we handle everything for you" type firm for rich people, and Ty seemed to mostly be a client services guy / manager. The fact that nobody was prepared for the Chup and be was the local guy makes me think there was a total dirth of litigation experience.

Remember that scene on Nick's show where he swore on a mountain of Bibles to Vic's mom that he'd never let him get done dirty? Then he did him dirty with utter incompetence and then ran away like a total coward?

Yeah. As bad as Nick.

Actually ultimately winning the case would have been a long, slow slog, but this isn't what happened. He didn't even lose it in a normal way. The outcome had zero to do with the merits. Despite not being a SLAPP suit, by the definition of the statute, Ty turned it into one by fucking up in such an utterly fundamental way that the court never even looked at the merits, because he lied and claimed to have been personally present simultaneously all over Texas on the same day.

And it was the "strip mall lawyer" who caught him and basically nuked the case from orbit because this dumb cocksucker with a huge litigation war chest (swindled by Nick) couldn't be bothered to spend a couple hundred bucks on a notary qualified to do remote notarizations.

So not only did he lose the case, but he had to pay hundreds of thousands to the malefactors and liars who fucked him over in the first place.

Nick was a licensed attorney at the time, seemingly sympathetic to Vic's plight, and Ty was licensed in the state in which Vic would have to sue. There were no blatant red flags for Vic to see at that time.
I think this alone was a red flag. A conflict of interest, or as we call it, a "coi". Maybe it's because I've worked in the public sector before (academia and health care) where this shit really matters and people would get fired or even sued over pulling such obvious nepotism hires.
But again, I have the gift of hindsight and only listened to a few of his streams as background noise. I started being active here after Hedonism II's tripod arc. That's mainly due to a singular defence he gave me on stream when discussing MTG being swatted. I felt the need to defend him on something that really didn't matter. In the end, it was something I substantiated to. I scraped his IG follower list where Balldo's Gate eventually discovered Ricardo and Romaine in plain sight.

Though, he probably propped his shitty expensive camera on the St. Andrew's cross he brought there. ;)

to Potentially Criminal show! Aaron could even do a live read of your Stoney's ad, FROM THE CLINK!

It's interesting that Ty did manage a few early victories in the court of public opinion - getting Vic back to Kamehameha con (or whatever the fuck) was a big dub, especially with the long-ass lines he generated. Vic's still able to do signings (granted not at woke conventions), and he's even still doing indie movie acting now and then. They seemed much better managed to deal with the PR crisis side of things, than the legal side of things.

Which, given what Ty and his team who came onto Nick's show, what they talked about, a lot was contract stuff or even representation for some athletes. Not as much with trial stuff. (Maybe Carrie [spelling] had some? ). Like we've been saying, a lot is clearer in hindsight.

Almost like that's why Nick's grandma and grandpa ended up going with Ty and his firm to manage their affairs.

Aaron should definitely get Geno and Keanu to host his show
Bring on the cat that despises Keanu as well.

So a child testing positive for cocaine is less worrisome to the courts vs a single photo that hasn’t been seen and no one knows what it truly is but those 2 idiots, is worth 8 days in jail?

Minnesota is a truly fucked state.
