I keep seeing people that call this type of thing "woke"
Here is my thinking: If they just have a random black person play a role that is NOT forced (I am talking in general media btw), then I really don't mind. It's the fact that these companies are essentially leaning in on this diversity that gets into my nerves.
These companies will shove blacks and gays into media, not because they are relevant in anyway, but so that they can get the "heckin' wholesome chungus" and Twitch-dicksucker people to clap their hands and consoom.
This is what defines "woke" to me, and I am honestly tired of seeing some people throw it around when they do see an actually good black character (Simon Phoenix from Demolition Man, for example. Been a while since I seen it, but I personally think he is awesome). It is these bastard companies essentially going into black face and dangling product slogans to get the braindead consumerists to drool. It's to the point that I understand why people throw such a term around at everything. It's tiresome now to see a single black actor in a show without thinking it is forced, because of the thousands of other pieces of media doing that same thing.
You can tell these companies don't try, because, in video games especially, they ALWAYS have the blacks and gays in the most stereotypical, essentially racist, image imaginable. If they are going for diversity, I don't think another teenage black man with a fluffy red coat and dreads flowing to the side and a nose ring is going to make it any different. In fact, you are only creating more racist stereotypes in the process you dumb niggerfaggot.
