I don't know the average pay through the ranks, but we're 10 days into the shutdown, and they get paid on the 15th. Is their pay that low or maybe just preemptive measure?
If a soldier is so retarded with their money that they don't have at least a few months of emergency funds saved up, they shouldn't be trusted to defend the country.
That's been going on for a while. Biden was telling everybody to go on food stamps and all the the DFAC's have been having at least half of their budget magically disappearing for the past couple of years and that money isn't an arbitrary allotment, it's money taken from soldier's paychecks.
