This is a weird old man thing. My grandpa's sister's husband used to do this. I've seen lots of other old guys do this. If you watch old movies from the '30s and '40s, you will see people will do this (even relatively younger men). I've never understood it.

This reminds me of the faggy "humane" way of gelding farmstock where you wrap a cord around it's balls and wait for them to fall off. It's long, arduous and agonizing for the animal, but hey it doesn't use those big scawwy sharp bwades so it must be better!

Meanwhile the original method of just nipping it off with a knife is fast, clean, efficient and much less painful.

This is one of those WTF moves, as it's basically Paxton's to lose, no one wants RINO Cornyn. Hunt is a solid GOP vote but he's also relatively young and got his start being more associated with Eyepatch McCain and was just smarter about shifting to MAGA.

And by splitting the vote more, it feels like it's done with Cornyn's campaign. What it basically means is a runoff is going to happen which wastes more resources, as the democrats are going to try and run either Colin Alred again, or that gay Texas "pastor" who was on Joe Rogan saying blasphemous shit a few months ago who they are desperate to make Beto O'Rourke 2.0
