I'm not assmad enough at Elon to think anyone who buys his shit deserves to be charred to death for it, but it does seem to be a thing that happens. Imagine paying a huge premium to have some worthless shitbox where the doors don't even work.

How long have we had cars? How long have they had doors?

Why the fuck would some autistic retard invent a car door that doesn't fucking work the one time your life depends on it?
Caring about the safety of other people? Whoa there, buddy - sounds like you're coming down with a case of the Woke Mind Virus! I mean, worrying if your product is going to turn into a pyre for a family of 5? WHY DO YOU HATE TECHNILOGICAL PROGRESS SO MUCH?!

To properly imitate Elon, you have to use bullshit semi-mystical terms like "cone of light" to justify the manipulation/imprisonment/torture/killing of those in your way.

Never ever get inside a Tesla. Elon's slow cooker death trap.

I just imagine the car laughing manically after you shut the door and it locks you in.

Is that the term he used for molesting his son until the kid trooned out?

To be fair they do have an emergency pull-tab releases on the inside (and I think some emergency exterior access panels or something for opening them from the outside after an accident.)

I could only find photos of the interior ones. Heres a montage of the different models:

None of these are particularly simple to operate. Imagine trying to figure this out after being in an accident? And these are no help if the passengers are knocked unconscious by the collision.

Call me an old fuddy-duddy, but I've owned several cars spanning several decades and using a few different kinds of handles (the push button, the hand you pull out, the handle you pull up, etc) and I've never needed an instruction course to figure out how to use any of those designs.

No thanks to these killer door handle designs. The Jeets can have them.
These are only for the passengers' doors, the manual door release for drivers is just in front of the window controls.

Now, you may wonder, why isn't this also at the back?

Because Tesla, unlike Mercedes 30+ years ago, cannot for the life of them figure out how to have frameless windows that go down with mechanical releases reliably. If you ever pull that, the car complains that you should not use the manual release and that it may damage the windows.

Therefore, it's better to put your kids in a literal death cage than risk them damaging the window seal, because "the software company" can't into software figured out by the fucking krauts a generation ago.

Wonder why they couldn't design it better with all that elite human talent they've tapped?

Elon Musk H1B Tesla.gif

1) Tesla failing the Wild E Coyote painted wall test
2) A model Y steering into another Tesla it spotted in the oncoming lane. A mating ritual perhaps?
3) A tesla failing a self-driving test in the city, trying to drive over steel poles.
4) A cybertruck turning into a dumpster
5) A cybertrucks window being broken during a demo about how unbreakable it is (which is a horrible feature if you're trapped inside after an accident.)
6) Tesla failing to detect and stop for a person walking into its path test.
7) One of the many random battery fires

I saw a police body cam of a car wreck the car's speakers said something like "I've detected that you've been in an accident. I'll contact emergency services if I don't get a response from you."

If Tesla's going to have that much automation in their cars, couldn't they rig up a system where the car doors automatically open if the vehicle detects an emergency? Siri knows when shit's fucked, why can't Grok?

If I'm going to live in a cyberpunk mega corp. hellscape, at least give me some Blade Runner achitecture and flying cars, not everything from the 1990's/2000's but falling apart athestitics.
we live in a cyberpunk dystopia without any of the cool cyberpunk stuff

Take the "Tesla Robot" for example - something that will never make it to market or be practical in any way, and something that we've had the technology to do for about 3 decades now. These retards will play pretend with each other and get other retards to believe them. This has been Elon's entire source of wealth. Him, and likewise many others, entire source of wealth is derived from fraud.

It's all just a scam. Everything is somebody's grift.

There will never be any actual cool shit made. Why? There's no reason to. There is no market incentive to do so when you can just lie and say you did like a child and you have an army of insane people and jeets who reinforce that lie. No matter the truth, the stock price still goes up.

It wasn't always this way. As much as their legacy has been resigned to the title of "robber barons", we use to have men in this country like Andrew Carnegie that built railroads that spanned the entire continent, John D. Rockefeller who forged America's petroleum industry. While their business practices may have been unethical, you can't bullshit your way to being a oil monopoly. They built things that objectively improved America and the standard of living for all.

What has the average person benefited from Elon? You can't even say the nigger word on Twitter X without getting banned.
What has the average person benefited from a person like Jeff Bezos? Oh wow, I can get Prime Day Deals of cheap plastic junk made in a sweatshop delivered to CONSOOM faster.

The American economy is a hybrid between Herbalife and Solar Roadways and Elon is the poster child.

No one could have ever predicted how sterile, gay, and boring the future was going to be.

This was put to bed in the 90's after kids kept dying from locking themselves in trunks. There must always be a manual release, it must be easily visible even in complete darkness, and it must be simple to operate. A hidden pull wire does not fit that. Musk and his team of dent heads once again reinventing the wheel by making it a triangle. I hope the family of everyone who dies in these vehicles wins wrongful death because this is negligent at least and knowingly unsafe for aesthetics at worst.

Those are such a terrible idea. Who ever woke up and thought "Car doors need to be changed to not have handles"?
I believe the reason why electric cars all have those flush door handles is because of aerodynamics. Electric cars are competing for range in the market because you can always get further with less effort in a gas car currently. So any amount of energy loss electric cars can reduce (thus extending a battery charges range) the better. Until those energy saving designs start killing people of course.

The fact they haven't come up with a simple way to just have a quick release for emergencies is crazy. Maybe Elon fired the people who would have done it because they didn't ass kiss him as much as Rajesh and Rakesh do.

Like, why not have the emergency release be something simple and easy like breaking the button for the electronic opening? That way it would literally make it so in a panicked situation the people trying to leave would automatically do what is needed without having to even know about it?

Or even better, NOT HAVE IT BE FUCKING ELECTRONIC IN THE FIRST PLACE?

I really hope his autism doesn't ruin SpaceX.

Probably because it would end up much like the self driving and other "A.I." memes going around: It would work decently enough about 90% of the time, and then catastrophically and retardedly fail in a spectacular and mind blowingly stupid way 10% of the time. Like opening the doors with the car outside in the middle of a snowstorm or thinking that your kids screaming because they are stupid kids is serious screams of pain and opening the doors while going 110kmh on the highway.

That doesn't explain the inside of the car though. The outside being electronic only is bad enough but tolerable, but on the inside there is no excuse for the opening mechanism to be all electronic and not just regular handles. Like I said: there is no reason they couldn't design the inside handle so that gently pulling on it triggers the electronics but a hard and desperate pull would break a seal and trigger the emergency opening that they already have in place WITHOUT the stupid hidden mechanism in place.

I honestly don’t know what can even explain the over-engineered nightmare that the interiors of electric cars are. The only consistent design present is the steering wheel and maybe the pedals, everything else is all moved around and weird. My unsubstantiated theory is that it’s a combination of unchecked nerds and overzealous U.S patent laws which creates a design environment where different = better while similar = lawsuits.

There's no need for AI for this. If you're going to have fly-by-wire doors how about auto-open the doors if the inside temp gets too high? Even doubles as a don't-leave-your-kids-to-cook-alive-in-your-card fail safe which might get some good press.
