Ankalaev was the worst champion. No one knew who he was and there was 0 chance he retained.

Meta wise his career is hilarious
  • Get tapped out by Paul Craig with one second left in debut.
  • Fight a bunch of guys who do nothing.
  • Have a goofy shit stoppage vs Cutelaba,
  • Rematch him but Covid delays it a bunch wasting time.
  • Slowly climb the ranks vs a bunch of very washed up fighters in pretty mediocre fights.
  • Fight Jan in a vacant title fight.
  • Fight like a retard and almost get leg kick TKOed, ends in a draw. Be filmed crying as you leave.
  • Some spastic called Jamahal Hill manages to win a title next month instead of you.
  • Take a year off, fight Walker in a easy win.
  • Foul like an idiot and the stupid doctor stops it, making the fight a no contest.
  • More time wasted rematching Walker in the Apex.
  • Alex is champ and the company hates you, fight and beat Rakic.
  • Finally get to fight Alex - you win but the fight sucked. Everyone hates you.
  • Manager is Ali Abdelaziz - he talks a bunch of shit online pretending to be you and people hate you.
  • Get rematch with Alex. Ready to fight him hard.
  • Get TKOed in 2 minutes.
  • Lots of gifs and videos of you being finished put online.
  • Everyone laughs at you.
  • You are never getting the rubber match.

LHW is nearly as bad as HW now only the guys have slightly better gas tanks at LHW.

No one is particularly good at any one style so it just comes down to pure luck most of the time. Also, this card was a timely reminder of how much i hate Rogan on the mic. He has been around this sport for decades and still somehow doesn't have a fucking clue.
 
With how fast Ankalaev was able to get to his feet after losing, part of me wonders we would've had a Carwin v. Lesnar situation had the fight continued. Then again, I doubt Alex was going to tire out so easily.
 
Sober analysis of 320:

Edmen Shahbazyen is the epitome of a gatekeeper at MW. He can have a good fight with most, gets thrashed by the elites (Imavov, Fluffy). Muniz is flushed.

Send Patchy Mixed Nuts back to Bellator or wherever he came from, not because he got beat, because he didn't, but he struggled against Joanna J's pool-boy.

Put Ateba Gautier against someone who isn't a tomato can and we'll see if he's really MW Ngannou. When Tre'ston Vines wasn't running for his life, he was getting bullied.

I won't say Joe Pyfer is a bad fighter, but I just don't like watching him fight. Also, Dana should give him an extra $5k to not do a post fight interview. Give him a ranked guy (Allen or Cannonier) and see what he does.

Emmett and Zalal wasn't a fight, it was a beatdown. It's time for Josh Emmett to go home and stay there. Lerone Murphy was a smart call-out by Zalal.

Jiri and Khalil. What is there to be said about this fight? Khalil dominates for two rounds, gasses out, and Jiri proceeds to Anime Protagonist his way into a KO win. In the universe where Poatan never enters the UFC or retires after losing to Adesanya, Jiri Prochazka is the reigning LHW champion. If Khalil wants to improve, he needs to go train with Merab.

Speaking of Merab, he pretty much handled Corey Sandhagen as I expected he would. Double legs, body locks, trips, footsweeps, Merab wouldn't let Sandhagen stay on his feet any longer than he wanted him to be there. He even cracked him so hard in 2 that knocked most of the fight out of Corey. Make the Pantoja fight happen already.

Pereira vs. Ankalaev 2. For everyone who said Pereira didn't look right in the first fight, you have been completely vindicated. Poatan came in with his Chama Meter at 100%, proceeded to aggro Ankalaev until he crumbled which took all of about 30 seconds. Ali Abdelaziz and Merle Christine in shambles, you love to see it. Carlos Ulberg got a look at his immediate future probably didn't like it. Jiri looked like he was experiencing transcendent bliss standing in the presence of his rival/senpai and envisioning the Blood War to come.

Overall B+ card.

I'm Soo glad to have been wrong! I really thought Ankalaev would just stink up the octagon again, so I'm really glad Pereira made quick work of him this time around. It's a bit frustrating though that he let himself lose the first time but oh well, we ball

I really, really hope Volk retires soon because BW is just getting stale ATP. Merab already rematched O'Malley and the only two fights worth making are also rematches. The UFC should really force him to move up or gtfo

Man, as awesome as Jiri vs Khalil was, it's so sad we'll never get to see Jiri vs Jan *sigh*
 
Really funny, Alex goes into the first fight vs Magomed sick and off an injury, stuffs all his takedowns, and loses a 49-48 decision.
Magomed goes into the second fight vs Alex sick and off an injury, and gets heemed in 80 seconds.
Bet his inbred brain got rattled.
