Based upon clues it really sounds like final crisis. Which was released in 2008.

Actually even better. It's written by Grant Morrison who was even more off his leash than ever in this story. Darkseid is supposed to be trying to become a pure eldritch abomination of evil. To the point the nazi elseworlds of the heroes show up to help "fight" it.

Not consistently. There are better writers. That's just Grant Morrison.
 
I honestly can't see how people can take that site seriously when there's retards like him who are adding random shit that "scares" them onto the wiki. It's as if there's something that compels them to TMI everyone about their weird obsessions.
