Saw this on X a few hours ago. It better be true and Trump better be pushing all this through as fast as possible before Schumer (or the RNC) caves.

Oh that would be absolutely delightful if true.

I thought the last time there was a budget thing we narrowly avoided a shutdown because the Democrats point blank said they were afraid that Trump would use a a shutdown as an excuse to lay off a massive amount of useless workers. Did they already forget about that?

The state was quite literally 50/50 for and against secession. So, there being no majority the state legislature voted to remain neutral. We were still occupied by the north for our trouble and our elections rigged. but even with all that by 1863 the union was afraid that the state would fall into anarchy and open rebellion. if the war had continued into 1865 of 66 Kentucky would have started to slip out of federal control. the Union army was stealing livestock and burning crops and killing military-age males all over the place. Locally, there was a boy who hid in a foddershock when the Union came knocking. he was bayoneted to death, but not before the hung his father and raped his mother.

One of the stars on the confederate flag is for Kentucky. The provisional KY confederate government was mostly slaughtered at the battle of Shiloh. The state guard defected to the south at the onset of the war led by general Simon Bolivar buckner. he would become governor in the 1880s. His son would be, I believe, the highest ranking US soldier killed in WW2.

As it is the only reason we historically have a democrat governor and vote democrat until the 80s/90s is because after the war we were so fed up with the GOP that we elected democrats (the part of the CSA) for over 100 years!

The southern half of the state raised troops for the confederacy. the northern half, dominated by Louisville and bound via the Ohio river to the north was generally for the union. My grandmothers great grandfather fought in the local confederate union in the mountains. so cut off from resupply were they that they had to resort to raiding and pillaging union loyal towns.
Kentucky was heavily divided in that war of northern aggression, a lot of people throw around the term "brother war" and in a real way that's what happened in kentucky. Some rather nasty battles and skirmishes happened here. I don't want to really give away too much, but the local bus changing station for school was right across the rode from a really horrific battle. they had a little "this happened here" sign. Some of my ancestors fought on both sides. Wasn't too far away from blair mountain, where some of my dad's people fought the union thugs. Was in wv, but just barely across the border.

I get the hate for mitch, rand and massie, and I share a lot of it.

Atlasintel has been very accurate in the last couple election cycles, but this is wild.
Higher than whites? Yeah I dunno if I buy it lol. Also notable is 18-29 is the only age group with more approves than disapproves. Also, the numbers are better among women than men.

Also, nobody knows who the fuck Massie is.

Trump better fire more federal workers assuming he has the ability to do that. It would be so funny to see the Democrats cause the firings of tens of thousands of government workers because they couldn't stop kvetching about gibs.
If these people are the benevolent hardworking assets we're told they are, surely they'll all start amazingly successful NGOs and businesses. Pull themselves up by their boot straps, ya know?...learn to code?

Has private industry ever said, "wow, I can't wait for a surplus of former gorvenment employees to come to the private sector"? What the fuck can these people even offer? Private industry is excited to hire former government workers only after the corrupt bastards have played their part with our money for corpo benefit, and the kickbacks the few get for such a wormy service is positions with high pay and no power; no impetus, no consequence. It's the only position these leeches are qualified to hold.

Democrats believe in perpetual, ever-expanding government, and the only job security they give a damn about is government. The last round of firings was met with little concern from America at large outside of those who fell for liberal media lies about this and that. The stunning silence to come of their plight will be deafening.

This is gonna be good.

Military-industrial complex, lobbying firms, and every entity that does contract work for the federal government. Those parasites love the inside knowledge and networks that former federal employees provide.

Democrats: "Give all of your money and assets to the illegal immigrants who are raping and killing you ... Or we'll shut down the government!"

Literally everyone else: "Don't threaten us with a good time."

This is late, but regarding Trump and Hegseths speech, it was a power trip. To call all the generals like that, its showing them that you will come, listen in-person to what the commander in chief has to say. It will annoy the right people and hopefully they self resign. I think people underestimate the value of something like this. Too many of them think they can't be fired or dismissed. Time to show them whos in charge.

Edit: spelling

Black approval ratings are irrelevant, because most of them don't show up to the polls.

Same deal with the youth vote.

Republicans control all three branches of government and 2/3rds of state governments. What the Democrats do is not paying off for them at all.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=_qzacv8dtb4
And that's the cycle I'm talking about. They controlled all three branches in 2016, barely held on to it in 2018, and lost it all in 2020. And don't forget the other third of state governments are far larger and more powerful players than then the other 2/3rds. The right has a bad habit of sitting on their laurels when they get a victory. While the left is very proactive regardless if they win or lose. If something isn't paying off for them now they tend to find a way to reinvent it. Calling Trump an evil fascist dictator Super-Hitler-3 not working? Find the blackest fentanyl addict getting his neck knelled on and blame it on Trump's super evil fascist government.
