A ring of modernized Atlanta-class CLs would probably be cheaper, and would offer good ASW bubble for the task force, as well. Why not have both?

I always liked the Atlanta class and its derivatives. The were my defensive workhorses in Victory at Sea: Pacific.

Oh are they finally going to stop the PowerPoint presentations on Sexual Harassments every 2 weeks and just replace it with a Staff Sergeant with a stick hitting the enlisted in the back while yelling "DO NOT RAPE WOMEN" for half a hour? Cause I honestly thing that might be a better use for everyone's time.

I'm a huge fan of the Alaska Class myself. pity only 2 were built and only did 32 months of service. 12 inch guns and enough AAA to make any pilot stay well clear. maybe replace the rear turret with VLS cells.

I'd put battleships or cruisers (nuclear powered to keep up with the carrier and to power radars/ lasers/ whatever) around the carrier it self, maybe 10 miles out with destroyers and some kind of modernized OHP style cheap frigate as radar pickets and for ASW work even farther out.

From what I understand Dems love illegals, Republicans do not.
Republicans want to pass something that essentially wipes their hands of paying for illegals and Dems would rather burn it all down than let that happen.

I am a bit worried on relaxing the frequency of cybersecurity training. Some people are real fucking dumb and need to be reminded over and over.

The funny thing is that its not even a full balanced budget, its just a CR that gives them more time to negotiate.
 
As I'm not American, the concept of a shutdown is quite unfathomable to me. Obviously it's not like a full purge situation, but does it just mean nothing can get passed until the two parties agree?

I'm sorry, but this is just dumb. Federal law forces the boomers to go on Medicare at age 65 if they're not working. How is this abuse? Boomers paid into social security during their working years and are now receiving the benefits. How is this abuse?

Now split that Social Security blue block by payments going to retirees and Social Security Disability going to Somalis and other scammers. Same thing with Medicare.
 
All I can say is I’m glad that there hasn’t been any violent retribution for Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Anyone wishing for it has severe case of myopia.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination has been a disaster for the left. Despite the vile rhetoric they spew, TPTB *must* officially condemn political violence because they know that it’s their necks on the line if political violence is normalized. Let’s say some Groyper ventilated Hasan Piker in a revenge attack - do you really want to be on the side that now has to make these canned statements decrying political violence when in reality you wouldn’t hesitate to piss on his grave? Do you really want the media be able to spin “muh both sides” on this shit to gain back sympathy from normies and pressure Trump to take action against “right wing violence”? Do *you* want to be the one who has to hide your powerlevel and pretend you give a single shit about Hasan, lest your shitlib coworker leverages it as a means to get you fired?

There may well come a time in the near future where political violence is the only solution to our problems. Now is not that time, and setting off the powder keg early really won’t get you the results you want.
