None of this makes any sense to me. I'm losing it.
90% of the EPA getting furloughed, what does that even do? What does the EPA do exactly, other than suggest policy? They have 20,000 people there? Is that like, a lot?
Is our government just like the economy, fake and gay? At this point I keep hearing doomsaying about government shutdowns, and everytime it's basically just "omg but the national parks!" and it's the exact same feeling as when people go "OMG drumpf tariffs are ruining the US economy!" and the S&P 500 goes from 500,000 points to 494,000 points and then two weeks later it's 500,420 points. I'm going to spend the next week seeing everyone blame random shit for the government shutdown and instead I suspect it'll be like every time this happens and nobody actually notices.
I'm with Null, shut the bennies down, but also publicly announce there's no enforcement of ATF policies so that people can defend themselves from the ensuing riots. Let God sort it out? Not that I want violence or anything of the sort, I think I just struggle to imagine anything ever happening, you could have another 9/11 and people would be chudjak posting.
