If you are referring to Gandhi, him being the main reason for the British giving up on India is to a great extent, a myth. Their empire was financially broke after World War 1 and World War 2, there was pressure coming from the Cold War superpowers and there was not much of an appetite to fight against nationalists right after a major conflict. They couldn't afford to keep it anymore.

Most if not all of the European empires of old tried to keep their overseas territories (often through violence) and for the most part these efforts failed spectacularly in the long run. The United Kingdom fought in the Malayan Emergency and the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya. France tried to hold onto Indochina and Algeria which went very poorly and became disillusioned from that whole experience, which led to the country letting its sub-Saharan colonies go without much of a struggle. The Netherlands had the Indonesian National Revolution. Portugal battled to retain Angola and Mozambique, succeeded somewhat and then lost it all when the government at home was overthrown meanwhile their holdings in Goa got invaded by India. Finally along with all of this, Spain and Belgium decided holding onto their pieces of Africa weren't worth it in the face of rising pro-independence movements.

To relate back to the point made earlier, I can't really see Anglo descended people as being unique in their suffering due to their societal views on fairness. They share many of the same woes as their Enlightenment inspired neighbors.

Do you know any Israeli or Jew who don’t want American troops or handouts? Do you know any Israeli or Jew that wouldn’t rather American men and women die for their beliefs? For that matter, how many Jews join our military straight out of high school?

Do some of you think or just run on emotions? How old are you? Can you even pinpoint Israel or Iran on a map?

Uh, the US used battleships extensively in the Korean war, Vietnam war and the Iraqi wars. to great effect. The Iowa class battleships were only stricken from the navy's rolls in 2006.

The battleships fired over a million pounds of 16 inch shells and 5 inch shells along with dozens and dozens of Tomahawk missiles. they were actually the last US units to cease fire at the end of the war.

At least one battleship should be kept around at all times in active service to be the naval equivalent of a A-10 Warthog, a destructive and epic piece of military equipment that can obliterate whatever its guns are pointed at and look great doing so but keep it away from anything that can actually pose a threat to its existence.

 
I hate to admit it, but if Hegseth was a woman he would be getting just as many calls to resign as Bondi gets. He gets a pass because he has Deus vult on his arms or whatever, but what has he actually accomplished?
