Dozens of people tried everything to help him. He was given every imaginable opportunity to pull his life together, & he wasn't willing to do the work himself. All he did with it was take take take. This was a tragic inevitability, but an inevitability nonetheless, & not one worth shedding any tears if you were one of the people who bent over backwards in reaching out to help him.
Again, if even true. I don't even care to verify.
And to belabor my point, he was given literally everything, every resource, every ounce of genuine love & kindness that he needed to turn things around, but he made up his mind to do this years ago & bit every hand that reached out to try & lift him up.
Those that I'm talking about know who you are. & you have zero cause to feel a single ounce of guilt. The most that can be justified is to mourn all the things that he could have done with his life, but he chose this instead.
