He outright said that he wanted to shift away from video games and I think it's obvious he resents the people that prevented him from being able to do that.
Of course he resents sitting on his atrophy ass and begging the few fans he has left or dentractors that wanna see the piggy squirm for the few shekels he gets to play vidya games, while he sweats in his mature adult office, and while venting about things he has NO idea on what he's talking about. Key example, he did vent about how Saudi Arabia is "bad" for buying American companies, etc...and someone did bring up that one of the major investors in Scopley is....dun dun dun, Saudi Arabia. If the Saudi government saw Phil as someone they wanted to invest in, Phil would be kissing their asses, calling them "Sir", and praising them for the next few weeks, while Phil swims in the oil money.
He tried to venture out into politics, but he has NO hard opinions on anything. He just sat on the fence and went "I dunno...." *Shrug* He has no opinions on anything and if you ask him anything outside of food or gacha, it's "I don't care." or "I don't know." He's lived such a sheltered life and has no other interest in anything except stuffing his face and pulling for Hogans.
Phil knows that this is the rest of his life and he HATES it. Earlier he crashed out and wondered why won't anyone ask him about the FGC, old YouTube, etc...and even blamed Machinima because they (Machinima) thought that they had "infinite money" to play around with. Not realizing that Machinima was a blip of a time where YouTube didn't monetize gaming videos and people soon realized that the whole MCM was a scam. Once Machinima started bleeding money, people left. Phil hung on like the last member of the Titanic until he was fired, went to Curse, dropped them for a unknown MCM that promised him more money and things they couldn't even do, once he realized he got hoodwinked, he went BACK to Curse, and was eventually dropped from them.
He wants to get away from games and to be asked questions about stuff from the 2010's and what it was like, etc....like he's some elder statesman or something. One of the things he did was bring up that everyone "including" him that he knew that Mr. Wizard was a known pedo, he blamed others for their lack of action, but did Phil do anything? Well, no. Why? Because Phil lived out of state and it was "other people's responsibility to do something about it." He went AGAIN on the Cannon brothers, as he said that they "did a hostile takeover of the fighting game community." Phil wants to be seen as this positive contribution to the FGC like Justin Wong, Mike Watson, Jaha, the Cannon brothers, etc....but let's be fair: Phil was a cancer on the FGC, Phil is a cancer to the streaming community, and Phil is a cancer to the gaming community.
Phil is going to be remembered for jerking off on stream. That's his legacy, but in his narc mind, he was this beacon of light who placed 4th at EVO on a broken port of Street Fighter 2, who was a known cancer on the FGC, and who thought he should be held in the same light as the people mentioned.
