Eh, Worldcorp was a big enough deal at the time that he would have been able to go down that route if he was never picked up by Sam - he definitely had other options, albeit with a little less clout. You're definitely a 40Boy though, you gotta make it a bit less obvious next time you wanna sweep for the tard.

ben had a surprising request for mints; to not moderate negative content about production on battle chat:

can't really tell when mods are actually around but a kid did multiple marky posts without getting kicked seemingly (queued up a day later again). the most recent comments come from when someone was playing a mints AI butt vvideo. the one kicking the person after a while (kept winning all rounds) was ultimately wes because he is against screen sharing. the stop to this will ultimately be making it season pass only again but this will also make it so that people like Toby Turner won't be showing up anymore.
the rules are also seemingly more relaxed from stream stars; someone streamed an entire movie during off hours, plenty of guns have been pointed at the screen, butts, etc. i only saw them intervene on a doxxing attempt.
they've also unbanned raddad & fish who people assumed were perma'd.

battle chat remains largely slop given that it's running all day with very little battling going on (more so a discord hangout..). might be able to catch some more interesting things during peak hours but the format is probably best reserved for events. (most magic stars also have been complaining about not being able to make money off of this.)

I'm not gonna watch this, but it's kind of a smart move by Ben. Only a minority of the fan base watches this slop. While there will be people who won't stop criticizing production/Jet, there will also be people who'll get tired of it as long as they don't feel censored. So they can get it out of their system now and might be less of a hassle whenever the next season happens.
I think this could work and I'm not sure how I feel about this. I just really hope Jet will be exclusively a behind the scenes guy and gets no say in casting, but I doubt his ego could handle that.
I've given him more credit for ft than some other people in this thread, but he has never worked as an on screen personality. I also don't want to be forced to look at his teeth or toe nails ever again!

Maybe this is why so many people are nostalgic for Famous House in S3; Jet had to present as a real, competent producer and mostly stayed out of the way.

The S2 house has been sold finally. They couldn't even secure the asking price of $749,900 they got weasled down to $737,500. So since they bought it for $575k its a profit of maybe $162,500. Deduct the extensive renovations, the recent basement escape renovations, mortgage payments, taxes, fees, mortgage and property taxes and you're probably down below 100k and probably closer to 50k in profit.

This is still so much more than I would have guessed. Regardless of the half assed renovations they did, they never fully fixed the flooding issue, right? While the renovations might have been "extensive" most of it was obviously done very quick and cheap.
