I'm sure he's not sorry, but try not to read too deeply into a "not guilty" plea. That's bog-standard. Nobody pleads guilty at their first arraignment in the US criminal justice system. Can't get a plea bargain or leniency down the road if you give up at the first step.

I'm pretty sure there's no plea bargain he can get other than protection for his family. What, is he going to negotiate not to die? The only one who can grant that is his wife and there's no sign she's ready to do that yet. People hear the word "forgive" in Christianity and think it means what we think of as forgiveness. In reality, forgiveness is just to save YOU and your soul. That's why the Bible says Love Thy Enemies. It doesn't mean forfeit their punishment. It doesn't mean you lie there and take whatever they've done to you without repercussions. It's so you personally wash your hands of responsibilities. This faggot is never getting off.
