mean if this person wants to see brown toads then Nintendo could have a scene in the movie where Mario visits Dry Dry Desert since there are Arabian style Toads in Paper Mario. Although why do I have a feeling that these people will find something to complain about that?
This seems completely reasonable out of the context it was made in. If they have a jungle or desert level then the Toads could very well be brown skinned, however I feel like they want Hollywood diversity where every other Viking is either black or mexican and there were no white vikings.
Toads, as their very uncomplicated name implies - are modeled after toadstools, which is coloquial naming for amanitas (If not used for poisonous mushrooms in general); but with the mushroom cap colours inverted. No matter where they grow, toadstools maintain a smiliar stalk appearence, even with differen coloration of the caps:
Nintendo already made their design more bearable by making their bodies (the stalks, technically), a muted beiege, otherwise they'd be full white up to the head (Aside from clothing). It's just mushroom-people, particularly this type of mushroom (Even the powerup mushrooms are modeled after toadstools), Nintendo already made the unified design decisions long ago - because it's a simple character.
So both of you are wrong.
