If one had no idea of the backstory and extent of Pat’s manifest lunacy, reading him say “Fresh from the oven, child” would be an immediate flag that this is performance art. The fact that he didn’t end that sentence with “child” would make you suspect he has SOME idea just how ridiculous he looks.

I just imagine some big fucking biker guy, walking up to the bar and talking to his buddy about how he has got his anger under control thanks to some self help tape he was listening to after his last stay in prison for ripping a mans jaw off in a coke rage. This is an interesting opportunity to get inside Pat's head.
