In a prisoner dilemma scenario the win state is to insist you take the approach which is always best for everybody, while they consistently take the approach which is best for them personally.

They function holistically. They let one group brandish Alex Jones' scalp, while the other stands by to lecture if you attempt the same.

Now that this no longer applies, they have lost a significant advantage.

Look at that sub, though. One post in the last month before the cancellation. Before that? Five months of silence. That’s not momentum, that’s decay. He’s an unfunny hack propped up by a medium already on life support. A staff of what, 100-200 people? And meanwhile, podcasters with a crew of five are pulling six-figure audiences. The imbalance is embarrassing.

Of course people will frame this as a “free speech” issue. But if Disney wanted to dig in, they’d have a valid case. The reality is simpler: the jig was up. Trump barely rattled the door, and the whole thing collapsed like a house of cards.

And Kimmel? I hope he’s sitting there staring into that truth. He thought he was beloved, that his words carried weight. But really? He was nothing more than the dying embers of a medium that once roared like a bonfire, now reduced to smoke and ash, scattered by the wind. He'll be forgotten in a week.

They did the prisoner's dilemma with a bunch of nurses, and I'm not 100 percent sure but AFAIK i think every time the women made the choice to work together instead of against each other.
Those with an Ethos vs those without is basically a group dynamic vs individuals that don't share much.
Antifa has been in lockstep because historically, these "grassroots" movements are actually doing whatever they're "suggested" to do by direct funding. These things don't just happen organically. Sure, you can adopt a POV by yourself, but you cannot create a functioning organization with members and coordination without some kind of leadership.

This is scattering them to the wind. No one will want to claim Antifa now, and if they ever show up or are caught organizing they'll be persecuted and prosecuted. Its very kino. Because then what will these people do? What loophole can they use now?
 
The left must be really relieved. Since antifa is an idea, not an organization, and all it means is being against fascism, there won't be any funding networks to uncover. There won't be any email trails to find. Subpoenas and investigations will uncover nothing whatosoever, because there's nothing there. This means the Trump administration will be wasting its time and energy chasing a phantom instead of committing more acts of racism.

This is different. The FBI released official information. This would be like the Boston Bomber in 2012, the FBI releasing info about the bomber, his motives, his nationality, and a completely polar opposite affiliation to left wing ideology. and Sean Hannity saying “this is Obama, the bomber was his people.
