It's different now. Back then people were being canceled for telling the truth about the covid vaccine or refusing to take it, or some dumb shit they drunkenly said on social media 20 years ago. People are getting in trouble now for inciting violence, lying about felonies which could result in more acts of terrorism, and other things that never have been nor ever will be covered by the first amendment.
Free speech is not absolute. There has always been limitations.

What's that thing leftists love to say? Right: Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences. Companies are not required to employ you or give you an entire fucking TV show if they don't want to, or if they don't think it's worth it, or if you break their policy. Losing your job for flagrantly violating the rules of your job isn't even remotely comparable to censorship. For fuck's sake they didn't even say they fired him because they disagree with him (though of course they imply disagreement), they fired him because he's a legal risk to their parent company. If you want to have a discussion about the apparent investigation Kimmel might be facing and whether it's warranted, that's a different discussion entirely that people might have a different opinion on; but it seems that isn't what you lolberts and leftoids are up in arms over, is it?

Let's look at what the Dixie Chicks got cancelled for and what Kimmel and all these faggots are going down for. I think you ask most modern conservatives if they agreed with the government's actions into the middle east they'd say no, they've morally course corrected.

A lot of these leftist are literally teeming for more violence and teaching it. They have been for years, emboldened by the prongs of democratic judges, lenient sentencing and a media apparatus that runs cover. Karl Popper actually said that when a liberal government clamps down on specific thought and expression, even if harmful or hateful, it becomes illiberal. He wanted social corrections, not state penalties. This is precisely that.

If there's anything funny from the whole saga, it's gotta be the knowledge that there would have been a few relatively normal people in those discord chatrooms who thought the shooter guy was a little warped but harmless enough to not actually do anything. Hearing that Charlie Kirk got shot and then getting a discord 'ding' while knowing that you're probably going to be eyeballed by the FBI for the rest of your life has gotta sting.
