You lot? I voted for Trump 3 times but this is still government censorship plain and simple. Hate Kimmel all you like hes a retard but cheering on him being silenced just because you don't like what he says isn't American or being pro free speech.
 
Sorry to derail but I had to tell some people who’d understand as I left social media when I left the left in 2021..

My Dad is a boomer lib. Considers himself a centrist but is becoming more of an angry MSM consuming shit lib in old age. He works in PHARMA and eats up all the DEI training. He came to visit this week and he knows my views have changed dramatically. He brought up the assassination and we got pretty heated about it. I told him all the media he watches is incredibly biased if not outright lies and he said he was so disappointed that I’d become far right.

This is the kicker. I could not get my Dad to admit that people (democrats) celebrating the death are wrong. I thought surely he would concede on this. He conceded nothing but just went on with whataboutisms and muh both sides.

I honestly don’t know how to continue our relationship. I will for the sake of my kids having grandparents and being civil, but it all feels so hollow knowing I cannot be honest about myself and my family with my own father without provoking liberal rage.

I’m so bummed and angry. I fucking hate feeling so isolated.

I didn't find Kimmel's monologue all that outrageous. I hope all this stuff about investigations is just performance on one side and reactive hysteria on the other.

Dude you are beyond salvageable retarded. I literally just showed you the violation of the FCC guideline which can result in penalties as severe as imprisonment or the forfeiture of Disney's license to broadcast.
This is not a free speech issue. This is the Federal communications commission calling up Disney and saying "hey you're violating our fucking guidelines by having your boy lie about a crime that could result in more violence or riots. Reel it in or we're going to take your fucking license" and Disney responded in kind by firing his ass because they don't want to deal with the headache.
This has nothing to do with free speech. Disney does not have to provide us a platform to say whatever we want. Jimmy Kimmel can lie all he wants but Disney doesn't want it done on their channel and the FCC doesn't allow it on their airwaves.
I can't break it down for you simpler than that so if you still don't get it you're beyond help.

Oh and just so you know, mean ol' Donald Trump didn't make up the FCC, it's been around since the 30s.

Did you miss the part where the left did almost everything in their power to politically persecute conservatives in every way? Or the part where the moderate, free-speech and open debate guy just got assassinated?

Jimmy Kimmel is not entitled to a slot on network TV. No one is entitled to that. He is welcome to stream on Twitch or give monologues while putting the fries in the bag.
 
all I'm saying is, if you have been a free speech advocate especially during the heyday of the cancel culture mania but not think the other side deserves it right now, you're not really pro-free speech.

You just want to look like you have principles to make yourself look better, you don't actually believe in any of that.
