I give him until shortly after White Day. When no True & Honest virtuous maiden confesses to him, he’s coming back to the shitty ol’ US.

Kind of, he's basically near the average asking price for rent in the area he's looking in.@Quizibo is this a realistic price he's looking to pay?
Somebody from the Government was probably kind of enough to remind him he needed to kick it into overdrive, or the Landlord of the place he's staying had some "nice" words of encouragement for him. He's just now getting a sense of urgency about finding a place to live. He's fucking doomed.![]()
He'll be lucky if they ask for two months, they can ask for up to six months in advance for rent, might not even have a cap at all.I hope our boy knows about the key money fee. It's usually 2 months rent you pay your landlord when signing. And you won't get it back when you leave.
Nah, you can get a livable size area for that price, as long as you aren't in a major city. Though I guess "livable" depends on how much space you need.90,000 yen is like 600 USD. You can’t get anything decent in the US for that price, but you might get some closet space in Japan for that amount.
Better question; what has changed from that other than now hes in Japan? How long before Chibi goes insane from having no friends, a miserable job, and a tiny box to live in?
In Bing Bing We WahooOur chosen hero will find an N64 shaped apartment to bing bing wahho in, I have faith.
One Wahoo Under Bing Bing!In Bing Bing We Wahoo
One Wahoo Under Bing Bing!
Do you think he'd ever be allowed in those cafes in Japan, where you can rent an old console for a fixed time with some games? Our chosen hero will find an N64 shaped apartment to bing bing wahho in, I have faith.
You're 100% spot on. Nothing, nothing at all has changed. Only difference now is he thinks he's in his perfect fantasy land where everything just kinda works out like in the anime and vidya. That's also why the part of the Chibi cycle where he goes full doom and gloom will be that much more magnificent, this time it's in glorious Nippon, his dream fantasy land where anime always comes true, except it doesn't and now he can't even cope by telling himself it would be better if he was there.Better question; what has changed from that other than now hes in Japan?
Edit: sorry for the rainbow spam everyone. Im just SO optimistic for Chibi('s deportation.)
I wonder if after a couple weeks of sulking following his return to the US we'll start to see the "this is the NEW me...I've moved on and changed from my past mistakes..." kind of posts about whatever his next grand ambition is.Although he'll never care enough to understand why he should be grateful for it, his mom will be there to pick up the pieces before he ever has the chance to suffer and reflect on his poor choices that lead him there, and he will sulk and pity post before moving onto his next "life goal". Such is the Chibi cycle.
He'll get a free ride back to America if he doesn't have a place to stay, so he's always got that as a fall back plan. As long as he's attempting to find/keep a roof over his head, the government will push him to try harder, but they won't take action unless they suspect he's lying to them about trying to find a new english teaching job or an apartment. He's not gonna get killed, go to prison, end up stranded and homeless. Whatever happens he'll eventually bounce back as tards like him always do.
I said before that if this fails, it'll be South Korea next for him. He'll say the same shit about SK that he did about Japan, but this time he's 110% sure of it. Then after that, it'll probably be some South East Asian country where he'll fit in with the other western expats.I wonder if after a couple weeks of sulking following his return to the US we'll start to see the "this is the NEW me...I've moved on and changed from my past mistakes..." kind of posts about whatever his next grand ambition is.
Now I'm picturing him trying to join a boyband and I've decided the k-pop arc must happen.it'll be South Korea next for him.
But he's never had the same autistic connection to SK. He literally said when he was in Japan last that this is where he belonged.I said before that if this fails, it'll be South Korea next for him. He'll say the same shit about SK that he did about Japan, but this time he's 110% sure of it. Then after that, it'll probably be some South East Asian country where he'll fit in with the other western expats.
I want the Japan arc to last as long as possible, but I think defeat is inevitable and so I'm curious to see what direction his life takes after he returns to the US. Will this be his final arc? Is it nothing but mom's basement after this?If Glorious Nippon fails he's going back home a broken man and I want to see that because it will be funny.
