When game show Jeopardy!'s second most successful player decided to make a joke on X, they probably didn't expect to attract a troll.

But Amy Schneider, whose 40-game winning streak from November 2021-January 2022 ranks second only to current Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings' 74-game domination in 2004, did attract a troll account.

The user, hiding behind the name El Dingo Goat, labeled themself "parody" to allow the owner to post bigotry without consequences. With only 397 followers, only one post in 2020, but 15.2k replies to prominent accounts' posts, it's a portrait of a person desperate for attention, but terrified of accountability.

On September 7, Schneider posted the witty quip:

"I’ve never been myself, but I assume that most tourists have only ever been to the Turks *or* Caicos"
El Dingo Goat replied the complete non sequitur:

"Was Jeopardy! champ Amy Schneider given insider help to boost DEI? Her 40-game streak raised eyebrows—did producers tip the scales?"

Schneider addressed the accusation head on with more patience and grace than it deserved, writing:

"Ooh, I actually have direct, first-hand information regarding this question! No, I was not. You don’t have to wonder about this any more! Now you can do literally anything else with your life instead"

When questioned, the troll offered the usual backpedaling, excuses, and misinformation that bigots hide behind.

People had no time for the troll's claim that advocacy equated to unfair advantages for marginalized people.

...nor for any of the rest of their nonsense.

Only inadequate members of a group in power-cisgender, heteronormative, White Christians in the United States, for example-would ever fear diversity, equity, and inclusion.

After all, a qualified, competent individual would be confident in the face of a level playing field instead of the "old boys' club" advantages that gave them a boost for centuries.

Demonizing DEI is the reaction of the weak and unqualified who have to rely on racial bias to succeed.

By the way here's the author of this trash, just to show you who writes this crap.

And here's how he describes himself.
Amelia is an Oglala Lakȟóta, Kanien'kehá:ka Haudenosaunee and Métis Navy brat who settled in the wilds of Northern Maine. A member of the Indigenous Journalists Association, she considers herself a proud Maineiac.

I can actually believe that a troon might be autistic enough to do very well at Jeopardy. At the same time, bigger risks have been taken for less.

Seems a little silly to invoke DEI for why a tranny is winning on Jeopardy. Autistic men have always been great at trivia.
A few years back I actually tried to get on Jeopardy, mostly as a joke but also because I know a lot of trivia and obscure stuff. Whether or not I'm autistic is up to you to decide.

The questions on that test were some of the most difficult, most obscure, cheating-ass utter bullshit I've ever encountered in my entire life. The difficulty of the questions on that test were an order of magnitude harder than what's on the show. Needless to say I didn't advance to the next round, which most likely involved another, deeper layer of obscure bullshit.

There were no questions involving outdoor activities, athletics or professional sports in the screening test in case you were wondering.

And then on the actual show a bunch of the clues are fucking gay ass pop culture shit from the last 10 years.

And then the whole class clapped and the author took that 1st grader to prom and lived happily ever after past 41

This seriously reads like the author being vicariously assmad at the chuds through the troon it's about.

Had a family friend who made it to round two, which is another battery of questions.

Then there's round 3 where you play a mock session of the show, you stand behind the podium, pick off the board, use the buzzer, everything's "real" to see if you can function within the rules of the game.

Once that is passed? Those remaining form the pool from which the final invitations to play are given.

At the same time, bigger risks have been taken for less.
Rigging a game show is actually a Federal offense, no C-suite person is gonna risk that just to get a "first X" contestant badge.

Because it turned out that almost every game show in the 50's and 60's was rigged to get only the most charismatic and popular contestants to win for the sake of ratings, which they justified as "it's only entertainment, bro, we never said it was real".

At best? They could give out easy questions, but, that'd have to be for everyone. There's no way to conceivably be changing question difficulty on the fly without getting caught.

Jeopardy always rigs any long winning streak, ever since they allowed >5 win streaks. Jeopardy auditioners are in the contestant pool to be potentially called if they get anything from 35 questions right up to a perfect 50 on the contestant exam. Typically they call up people who get in the 42-43 range because they can call up opponents who are either evenly matched, worse, or better from the contestant pool, depending on how well the contestant draws ratings. You can easily manufacture a streak by just calling up people who barely passed the contestant test to challenge someone who did better, especially if you choose the categories to play well to the champion's strengths.

I don't know the lore but he appears to be a "late in life" tranny. Those aren't typically autistic. They're hypermasculine in a traditional domineering way, and the troon act is a way to force other people to obey them. Hulking dudes demanding you call them Ms Lolita Margherita or you'll meet their gigantic fists (in the ladies' room).

From what I remember correctly he tried to get on Jeopardy for years but was never able to, and then he trooned out like a year before he was on the show, and all of the sudden with a new host he gets on the show.
