That's weird because my CPU is below the recommended specs, and I'm still getting a stable 70 fps, at least according to Steam; according to AMD, I'm getting 90 fps. However, I have had one crash.
I'm running an AMD 5600X CPU and an AMD 7800 XT GPU

Denuvo is a piece of garbage, but there's no way this level of performance problems are just because of Denuvo. If you don't want to use frame generation you need absolutely top of the line hardware to run this shit at stable 60 fps on high settings.

runs fine for me and my 4070. apart from the graphics card and monitor I'm on the same setup I had at bl3's launch and it's pretty much flawless as far as performance goes. cpu is a ryzen 9 3900x. bl3's launch was godawful across the board with lag every time you opened a menu or rode a vehicle, this is WAY better.
repkit and ordinance slots are incredible, as well as movement. the new manufactures are interesting, but im still a jakobs enjoyer, especially now that they have throwing knives
picked vex, currently running the more crit-focused skills with her bleed skill and kinetic attunement w/ incarnate. very fun.
also I got the preorder bonuses for some reason, despite not preordering. thanks randy, I take back all the times i called you gay.
also: TOTAL RANDY VICTORY

plenty of reports from ppl with stuff like 5080s, 5090s, 9700XTs, and 7900XTXs having barely 50-60ish FPS at 4K with no frame-gen and their benchmarks are reporting 99% GPU utilization at all times even in menus etc. I'm not sure this game is worth burning out your GPU for.

Running above 60fps on my hardware on Linux via Proton at 5k.

The first side mission bugged out twice in a row for me so I quit for now.
Performance with dlss and frame gen is good, runs around 160fps at 1440p, but the hardware is beefy.
Without all the modern bullshit and just native resolution it runs at 80 to 90 fps, which is not really good since the game is just slightly better looking compared to 3.
And I don't know if I like the far cry approach in map and game design.
I picked Rafa and he's Zane, but Mexican. I hope he'll differentiate himself once you go deeper into the skill trees.
The quips are unfunny as hell, so nothing has changed.
Gunplay feels really good, but enemies are really spongy on hard. Especially badasses, they feel like little raidbosses depending on their level.
The movement feels really fun as well, you can grapple, glide and dash around.
The UI is total shit though, now it looks like any other sci-fi shooter UI released in the past 15 years. The older UI was never the best, shit at times as well, but it was unmistakable borderlands UI.
Whoever designed this is a talentless hack.

how's the gunplay? if bypassing denuvo didn't require certain retardation things i'd ask for a token but right now it's too much of a trust-related hassle.

Holy shit I spent 3 dollars on the 3rd one and I still wasn't sure if I was satisfied with my purchase.
Borderlands is already a conceptually bankrupt game. It's a treadmill where nothing truly matters except an ever advancing number that shows your gun's level, and the enemies' level.
You shoot things to get gear then shoot more harder things until that gear is statistically lagging behind and you get replacement gear and repeat that cycle until you eventually ask yourself what the hell you're doing and shut the game off.
The 3rd made a very wise choice by upping the legendary drop rate (since that's the only gear that's interesting to use, the game's fairly boring and repetitive otherwise), except if you find it fun to use certain gear, well it doesn't matter because it's just there until enemies' levels go up.
See, this other shitty gun has a higher number attached, so even if it's boring you've gotta use it if you want enemies with a higher number attached to die. The gun you really enjoyed using has too low a number attached, so it doesn't work anymore. Sorry bud. Hopefully you find the exact same gun but with a higher number attached.
The story is widely recognized to be bad and irrelevant, and your character's class is somewhat subordinate to the gear > gear process.
I can understand on a pure, monkey-brained level how that might be appealing if you try not to think about it, but I guess my question is: What's the point of a sequel? If you want to do the same shit again, just turn on the previous one.
Son the need to consoom transcends everything else in the world. If new thing comes out and people online are talking about it, it must be consoomed, must be part of trending discourse. There is no other choice.

Gunplay feels very good, haven't found that many guns yet, but each one that I fired felt crisp and nice.
