I hate noticing this shit and the things it makes me think about.

You aim at the head you hit the neck when you misjudge distance/bullet drop. A pro sniper would usually account for this in most cases, but it can be misjudged easily. This also common when rifle scopes are zeroed at a public gun range with limited distance, such as 50 yards. Then you aim at the forehead you actually hit low at greater distance. You wouldnt aim at a neck its (usually..chantal...) smaller than the head. This "statistic" is a type of survivorship bias where they see sniper hits in the head and neck. The neck shots were just head misses.

Firing downhill (and uphill) also causes those unfamiliar to aim 'funny'. you actually need to aim lower when aiming downhill. This typical quirk, would cause a shot aimed at center mass to hit the neck or higher on the target.

Man I see photos like this and not only do I feel hurt seeing them but I also think, man, this goofy looking mfer was able to get himself a super beautiful wife and have a nice family.

He is an inspiration to many young men for that alone, and I’m not even trying to be a dick I’m just saying genuinely I admire that about him.

I cannot get over imagining the pain his wife and 2 kids are going through right now. That’s what hurts most about this whole thing.

Could be 6.5mm Creedmor. Much more common for newer rifles than 30-06. Barrels are usually shorter but they make longer barrel versions too.

The service doesn't teach you to be a fucking crack shot sniper. Prior-service are not likely to be any better shots than anybody else that shoots occasionally. Maybe better at clearing malfunctions with an M4 or belt-fed though.

"Disabled vet" doesn't mean shit. Anybody that's deployed, and many who haven't, are able to scam a disability rating. It means nothing.

Disability rating scam is massive and common. I've got multiple NEET friends who essentially live off their 100% rating and play video games most days. Bit jealous.
