Featured on Sep 10, 2025 by Null: Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was assassinated during a Utah Valley University event. FBI states they have video of the shooter but no further details are public.

Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

So, is it the first or second suspect being charged with obstruction? I'm hearing it was the boomer, but I'd assume it's the muzzy with the pellet gun, given that Kirk was DEFINITELY not shot with that squirrel rifle.

It comes partially from one interview with a high school classmate who claimed Crook was an outspoken hyper-conservative, but ignores contrary interviews with other classmates which say he was apolitical or even openly derided conservatives. The other part is because he did change his voter registration to Republican prior to an important election primary, but that may or may not have been part of an crossover voting strategy that's been used in multiple closed-primary states. Why would he genuinely vote GOP but then only donate to ActBlue, using his own money to work directly against his interests?

Crazy seeing people on twitter and facebook cheer for this. Literally all they're doing is showing support that discussion and voting doesn't work. That violence is the only option and it's all they respect.

I don't think they understand what that actually means, because I'm seeing open calls for violent public executions and it's not getting quieter.

The first, apparently he claimed that he shot Charlie, which is probably why he's been charged with obstruction.

It's more about the assassin themself than the target when discussing blame, is it not? Because the recently dangerous individuals on the right have caused not only deaths to their own political "allies" (the Trump shooter, Jan 6th deaths) but also various mass shootings tied to white supremacy and other far right ideals. That's how I justify my "both sides" argument at least in terms of the United States.

There's psychos everywhere and their tendency to be violent is unrelated to whatever fiscal or social policy you believe in.
