Charlie Kirk was shot at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Wednesday.

Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.

A suspect is in custody, according to a UVU alert sent to students. The campus is on lockdown.

Multiple reports currently say Charlie Kirk made it to the hospital and is currently stable but the extent of his injuries and likelihood of recovery isn't currently known. He is in critical condition.

I disliked Charlie for many reasons, I'm not happy he's dead, I'm also not really sad, I do feel empathetic towards his kids but at the end of the day i do not care and this will not affect me one bit.

I’ll predict the shooter had some tie to the school or worked there. He was familiar with the set up and what a good vantage point for a sniper would be. They haven’t turned up a weapon so I’m assuming he quickly disassembled and put it in bag and joined the panicked crowd, expressing shock and concern before gtfo.

"Empathy" in its current connotation, means "enable and make excuses for horrible behavior because nobody (except white men) has any agency".

No. I believe in kindness and godliness. Morality is dictated by God's will. What is acceptable is dictated by our Christian culture. It's why Mezoamericans were doing human sacrifices and why Asians were committing horrific acts of brutality. What is right and wrong is dictated by what actions would get you into heaven, not because of some fake ass empathy bullshit.

If that really is the case then more than that they should be charged as an accessory to his murder for doing it. If there are loons now legitimately trying to fuck with the cops to help literal assassins get away from the feds this shit needs to be dealt with and dealt with harshly or we're going to end up with a major shitshow happening at some point
