Wasn't this guy collaborating with other breadtubers not too long ago on serious attempts at video essays?

The signs were always there, but it's reached a point where now if he tried to dunk on Mauler, EFAP would spend 8 hours joking about his bizarre Tumblr ramblings, and Eric would only get more negative attention. You can't expect to make it big as a YouTuber if you can't perform the bare minimum in PR management.
