I can’t help but laugh when I hear that kind of thing. Especially if someone is speaking in standard English and then all of a sudden say a loan word in a heavy accent from its culture of origin. Something like “salsa,” where at first they’ll be speaking in their normal accent, normal cadence, then all of a sudden they put on an ethnic voice to simply say, “sal-sa!” It takes me out of the moment, can’t focus on what they’ve said, all for the sin of being put upon. Newscasters often do this when saying Spanish names, too.
