Can anyone give me more details on COBE’s mom? I know she abandoned him and ppl mention that Clint and Cobes have gone into detail about it, but the thread is too big to find details.

From the videos the lady appears slow in the mind or is on heavy psychiatric meds. Was she an addict? Did she ever get married or have other children? Does she live on her own?

There’s usually a pretty big factor in a mother abandoning a baby, like addiction or mental illness. Did Josh have medical issues as an infant? From the video I get the “former alcoholic with psychiatric problems” It would go along way to explain the shitty hand Josh was dealt, given Clint seems exceptionally social and upbeat.

Edit: Just want clarify my feeling on this. Casper is genuinely an interesting place. YourFavoriteSon referred to the appeal being a sort of Americana. I kind of agree with that, in that Casper reminds me of my hood but from like 20 years ago. Interestingly enough, I believe the Mayor told Son that Wyoming was like 10 years behind the rest of the country. There's zero replacement for Josh, but it still could be worthwhile to have an outsider broadcast their life in Casper.

What I don’t understand at the time or ever will now is why trolls bothered him in his personal life too? Like I get wanting notoriety for the glitter bombs or the door dash stuff but the harassing phone calls he got off line, I want to believe that bothered him worse. He couldn’t escape the trolles even with his camera turned off.

And I gotta disagree with a lot of people siding with Clint, No doubt he loved Cobes, but he washed his hands of him too, he threw him in. That trailer and saw him once a week. He knew his son was ill and depressed, the last thing he wanted was isolation, How come he didn’t 5150 the boy after the shot gun incident with BogCunt?

Red flags all over Josh. And Clint did nothing, Josh worshiped his dad. I feel like he would have listened to his dad about getting help. Just my 2 cents. Gonna miss Josh that’s for sure.

I am late because I have been away visiting family, but all of this is truly heartbreaking.

Sure, I may not have agreed with some of Cobra’s actions and he did lived a destructive lifestyle, but he was a good guy and compared to the other cows, he never really did anything wrong, he was just an oddball who did stupid things, but I always enjoyed watching him.

Watching and listening to Clint’s video really broke me.

There’s rumors about Jessica and those seeds and whilst I do find it all sus, I ain’t going to be one of those conspiracy fags and just wait for the official autopsy report.

RIP Josh, you did not deserve to go out this way.

I highly doubt it. For one, he's a sicko that crossed way over the line, whereas Cobes did some dumb shit but he never did anything heinous. Secondly, hardly anyone is following modern Chris Chan, most people just watch stuff about the golden era. With Cobes tens of thousands were watching every video of his in some form, even if it was just clips.

Because they’re sick bastards with no social life, a lot of them are a bunch of Reddit weens who are still in high school or attending college.

That being said, trolls will always do that shit regardless, it has happened to many cows over the years, but I agree Cobra never deserved it.

Personally, chasing after cows in general is a bad idea, if anybody wants them to improve themselves or stop their crazy antics, harassing them on a daily basis will only further deteriorate their mental state and make them worse - Just look at what happened to Chris Chan.

Sure the idea guys were partly to blame for his delusions, but Chris Chan was already halfway gone before that, he was taking Paxil and even express feelings of suicide a few times (Cwcki says he chose not to because of his weak pain tolerance though).

It is more complicated than that.

Cobe was a grown adult so it is more difficult to have any sense of control over him and he wouldn’t be able to be 5150’d unless he had no mental capacity to make his own decisions.

Also, adult social services have been known to be really shitty at looking after people with disabilities or learning disorders and Josh liked having independence and would most likely not get along with other people who are intellectually challenged so sending him off in to a group home would be the worse option.

Clint is also not young, despite his appearance, he is a lot older so he physically doesn’t have the energy anymore to deal with everything.

I have seen families with adults who have problems with addiction as well as autism and it is hard, even if they don’t have a troll problem it is still very difficult to handle.

If somebody is a small child then it’s a lot easier, but with a grown adult, it is more difficult, especially when they refuse to accept help - There is only so much you can do at this point.

I ain’t defending Clint, but he did as much as he could, again it’s not that straightforward, especially when adult social services aren’t that reliable.

When I was a kid I had the same exact Shon dummy as Cobes. They used to sell Charlie Mccarthy dummies for like $60 online, the cheap ones with the little string you pull on the back of the neck.

I wish I held on to it, because after Cobes died, I immediately went online trying to find one so I can give it some gothic bad boy eyeliner and a little Ozzy shirt, but they dont seem to be making them anymore, and the pre owned ones listed are all expensive as shit now.

Chris Chan worst actions: incest with barb, hitting a guy with his car, rape art of his only true friend, macing a GameStop employee...

i think more people will be happy that Chris chan's reign of terror is finally over. Chris chan lost a lot of white knights after the barb thing.

I honestly doubt it, Chris is pretty much hated at this point, even a lot of his enablers and white knights have turned their backs on him.

Also, the reason Cobra has a lot of compassion shown is because he did not try and hide his faults, he always admitted when he was wrong or fucked up whereas other lolcows try and spin the narrative.

Then there’s the fact that Cobra never really did anything that bad, he was just a weird goth dude with a drinking problem who has poor taste in girlfriends, but other than that, he was almost normal and a decent person so nobody is trying to kiss his ass or anything.

Plus, it is also respectful in general to show condolences to the deceased, none of us are that heartless.

If it were Daniel Larson or Cyraxx then sure, I could understand people not wanting to pay any respect, but Cobra deserves the acknowledgement.

that's a good point. cobes popularity seemed to just be starting to peak lately, i was a bit surprised to actually see hit him 100k and it just kept climbing afterward. i'm sure he's got some more clicks just over the last week but it's at 123k now.

part of me feels cwc is going to outlive all of us in some weird cosmic way but it's just what i'm thinking about now.

Maybe a small handful of times, but even so they were for things that were not even that serious or for things that nobody really cares about.

At other times he was honest and knew that he wasn’t perfect.
