For what it's worth, Indians (at least in India) also have widespread vegetarianism (means higher risk of poor protein quality if they're not eating carefully and Indians are too stupid to think before shoveling slop into their mouth) and it's not a case of healthy vegetarians because of high rates of diabetes as well.
Type 2 diabetes also increases muscle wasting meaning if you put those two things together I could see it impacting strength.

Properly fixing academia as it stands is going to be a decades-long process, but this is a fucking magnificent way to use the broken institution we have now to damage the pricks partially responsible for breaking it while protecting more of our own citizens at the same time.
