I’ll go one further and say he’s just not mainstream enough. You don’t see Staph talking about anyone but the “A list” serial killers, for lack of a better term. No interest in Ed Gein, Dean Corll or Rodney Alcala (who also was charming and good looking). She’s never discussed even her local killers, like Son of Sam, Boston Strangler, etc.

Shes not a true crime fan. Shes a poser. She’s the true crime equivalent of showing up to an underground rap show wearing Vanilla Ice tee.

Dean Corll is right up her alley. He's basically her role model. She could at least stan the victim boy/accomplice who ultimately killed him. But Corll just doesn't have the name recognition.

IIRC she didn't even know about some of Dahmer's non-white victims until she was already claiming to be obsessed with him. Wasn't she surprised by the story of the boy who ran away, got help from two black ladies, only for the cops to believe Dahmer and RETURN the victim to him? That lore is like Dahmer/ACAB 101.

The nice thing about being Schrodinger's Gender is that you can make so many different things about yourself. I used to know a chick (I think she's since pooned out, but at the time she was more explicitly a dumpy chick without much going on) who was conveniently always the correct demographic to advertise her art on various #xyzartist days. Female artists had a hash tag? She was there. ~nonbinary artist awareness~? Also turned up for that. Tranny artist day of visibility? Gee, she was that too suddenly!

Feels the same way with Stapphy, various random facets of her grab bag of identities always show up just in time to elbow her way into other people's conversations.
