I'm very curious what Newsom is even trying to do here. I feel like people who like Newsom wouldn't even wear the parody of a red Trump had just because of the potential of being though of as a Trump supporter by someone unaware of the joke. This reads to me as horribly and pathetically desperate to stay relevant.

Like, look at this Axios title:

How is this trolling Trump? Has Trump responded and I've missed how epically trolled he has been?
I think it's great, the Democrat party is showing they haven't learned a single thing as to why Kamala completely bombed.
There's no platform, no positions, no policies, no promises, no politics. It's just a message of "Trump Bad" and they don't have a thing to say or stand on other than "I'm not Trump, who is bad".
Maybe egobaiting Trump like this could work to get Trump to foolishly act up, but he's not going to be running against Trump in '28, he's running against Vance.

If we really get White male Kamala vs Vance in '28, the electoral curbstomp will be glorious.

Well...Trump fucking works, he wins. Trying to copy his shtick isn't the worst idea. That said, this is fun, but I think it misses the point in a fundamental way. Trump is self-aggrandizing, but the absolutely most famous piece of merch is the MAGA hat. That stands for "make America great again". That is a succinct philosophy and point of view you can buy into independent of any individual politician, and it's enough to drive an entire movement. It has Trump at the helm, but people see him as the champion of something bigger, and if they don't like how he does things, they will turn on him. It's like the antifan pattern Null talks about, your biggest alogs will be people who used to like you, but whom you have alienated. Fuentes fits this perfectly, although with the whole fed thing it's not clear how genuine his takes are anymore, but he's not the only one. There are people who thought the movement would be one thing, and when Trump has taken it in a different direction, they leave. It's another thing that people around here can miss, but fair enough, if you don't get the appeal then...you're not gonna get the appeal; so they think it's only a personality cult. But in Trump's most mocked, self-aggrandizing moments, he's still got a clear vision you can buy into or not, he just positions himself with comical zeal as uniquely able to realize it.

So..."Newsom was right about everything". What, exactly? Newsom, what is your governing philosophy? What drives you? When I pledge my undying loyalty and offer to follow you to the ends of the earth...where are we going? It's fun to clown on Trump, but that's all this is. Even if Newsom does become the next president, it's abundantly clear that he's not starting a new movement, he's not going to redefine the Democratic party or American politics. If you don't have a positive vision to offer, then you're just campaigning on the unpopularity of Trump, and at that point copying all his mannerisms seems like a political strategy that could easily backfire.

But whatever. He's got time to pivot into something else. Once anyone other than Kamela starts topping Democratic primary polls you'll know it's time to get serious, because there's no fucking way she's the nominee again.

Edit: I just thought of something. This would be really fucking sad, but maybe he just wants some cash and he figures he can sell a bunch of these quick. I'd like to think it's cynical political manoeuvring, but you can't discount the possibility it's an even more cynical fundraiser. Well, MAGA hats aren't cheap either...

Newsom has less chance than kamala

Why are people getting worked out now over this sillines?
Because they're acting like OH NEWSOM IS FINALLY BEING A DIRTBAG when people who are talking about this don't notice that there's a whole hell of a lot else that Trump did. Nobody really wants their states to be mini Californias. Everybody knows about how shit LA and SF are. Everybody knows about the extremely high cost of living there. Everybody knows about the ridiculously soft on crime shit there. Nobody likes Pedowood really. At least half of Americans want California to sink into the fucking ocean.

>Say something dumb
>People react
>"I am TROLLIN U
Real trolling used to mean something.
In a debate Newsom will look at Trump, deliberately shit himself, then take off his shitty pants and throw them at Trump screaming I AM TROLLING YOU YOU ARE BEING TROLLED

Didn't Gehenna say that we actually were being monitored, in a way to see the average viewpoint due to low bot count and strong free speech? I strongly remember it. Sort of a bellwether/taking the temperature of stuff.
By political advisor firms at least, yea. He managed to make reading the farms part of his work when it was relevant. I don't remember him confirming any glowies, but if firms at the level Gehenna seemed to be at were watching us, no way the feds weren't either. And we can pretty much confirm it by the fact that Sig's fedposting lead to Null having to hand over information on him back when. Whether its at the scale of paid actors trying to influence us into taking sides or doing dumb shit? Hard to say. The red flag to look for would probably be extremely baity accounts that only post in the thunderdome in any meaningful sense, especially if they started in the thunderdome then half assed in cow threads later. If someones got 400 posts into the baldoverse in six months with analysis on his boozing, they're probably clean. Feds are inherently lazy, that's why they work for the government.

Either way, I wouldn't worry it too much. If you're gullible enough to [fedposting redacted] based off what you read on the farms, you deserve to be promoted to statistic. We're here to laugh or lament shit in the government at the end of the day, like milking any other lolcow. As long as you've not decided other farmers are in fact the cows for disagreeing with you, you'll be fine.

I guess if that was a condition of employment before being hired they could get away with it but that's not something they can force on you after the fact. A business can't just decide one day to mandate using an employee's personal property for their profit.
The usual way they get away with it is by putting out work schedules via an app. Its super easy to justify it from both a business perspective and an employee experience perspective, and they don't have to put a single hard requirement in place for you to use it.

An employee fired for missing work stemming from it could try to sue, but it'd be an uphill battle, both ways. You'd have to actually prove you don't own a smartphone to stand a chance, and that its not reasonable for an employer to expect you to have one. Realistically, anyone willing to do so is already so abrasive that they'd be fired for cause stemming from that, and wouldn't be able to afford the lawsuit either.

You know, given that Vance has been set up as heir apparent for Trump, there is a good chance that Gen X, a generation that didn't even have a definitive start and end date until relatively recently, and that was never even given an alias, might not ever get a President who represents their generation.

Boomers held onto power so long and hard that there might never be a Gen X president.
Slackin' ain't easy, bro! :smug:

MSNBC spreading lies about JD Vance because they know they have no dirt on him.
They're claiming he's taken damn near ten vacations in 2025 (he has not).
I can't wait for them to go bust.

Why doesn't some mayor cut Trump off and the knees with this crime stuff and start pushing to get their cities cleaned up? surely the temporary hate from certain groups would be drowned out by making your city safer, right?
That would mean arresting black people and Mexicans, which would mean admitting that they commit crime, which is something a Democrat can never do. Their doctrine only allows them to enforce the law against white criminals

I am not a lolyer but this seems like defamation to me.

Vance should sue. These are provable lies broadcast with the intent of damaging his reputation.

I've grown more brazen about it as I grow older. There will be a point where I just don't care anymore. I think it is rapidly approaching.

I took a trip a couple of weeks ago to the small town my Dad grew up in to see one of his old friends from high school, dying of cancer. A common problem in the small mining town he lived in, the coal runoff poisons the water. We were drinking at a tiny bar where my great great grandfather shot three men and rode off on a horse to join the Merchant Marines. In that bar my father's friend told me a secret. There's these digital juke boxes in bars now, where you can link your phone to it. This fucking guy has every bar in this small town linked to it, and he just plays random bullshit like, "Wheels on the bus" on Saturday nights and laughs to himself while sitting at home.

The fuck would the world be without people like that?
That reminds me of a time I got fired from a gift shop I worked at back in college, but the owner forgot I had the speaker system linked to my phone. Any time I was in that area, I’d play random music just to see people ‘s reactions from the window. Good times.

T-this will convince those MAGATs!!!! This is finally the tipping point! His vice president vacations too much!

Maybe Democrats should try just not having TDS, not hating white people, not hating men, and not trying to destroy the country 24/7. Just some free advice. I know it's not "messaging" though so they don't care

Where's that clip of two White guys cheering on a BLM march from their second-floor apartment, and a pair of niggers see them and start chucking bricks at the window to break it? "We're on your side!"

Maybe that's what happened to some of that "performative solidarity," asshole, you shit on everyone who tried to support you.

What a shame, the spice police should've listened before they spent all their moral currency on corn starch and Axe body spray for their babies. Oh well! As a great hamburger helper once said, "No refunds!"

Also hello everyone! It's been a while. It's an escapade and a half to catch up on what's happening, but it's pretty amusing every time. A quick reminder that journoscum are not people and you can't hate them enough!

And the one vacation he actually took still had diplomacy in it. And even he had taken that many Vacations, he’s already done more than the last 4 Vice presidents did in their entire careers in the span of 7 months, the man can take as many trips as he wants if he can keep accomplishing that

But that would alienate their strongest demo, the mentally defective TDS subhumans. Imo they should octuple down on more nigger worship and giving out american taxpayer money to foreign criminals.

This time it'll work

helpless as gen x and boomers with computers
Dude, Gen X were the generation that went from BBS systems to IRC to Usenet to the very first HTML websites. I was playing Zork on a mainframe before you were born. I was running bootleg multiplayer Doom in computer labs at college in the early 90’s. Pretty much all the actual software infrastructure that keeps the economy running was built, and is maintained, by Gen X. Shut your whore mouth.
