Call me coldhearted but Gonzalo Lira was an idiot whose death has more value as a talking point then he had as a human being in life. Side with Russia or Ukraine all you want, it's simply not a good idea to make outrageous political statements about how great your side is and how bad the other one is while being in enemy territory during a war.
I mean... I'd largely agree with this except for the part where it's a good talking point. Death is tragic and all that, but this is a pretty good case of why, "When in Rome..." is good advice. It was only surprising to me insofar as it happened, it was not at all surprising to me that it was CRP who got whacked and that Ukraine did the whacking, whether by actually doing it or engineering conditions is your guess, but to me that's pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. He went to Ukraine, decided to report a bit too close to the sun, and shit happened. This is just the reality of that area of the world.
It's such a flex to use their own shit against them. I haven't watched south park in awhile, and i just assumed that wasn't edited at all. After kristi noem got upset, and decided to roll with it, the trump admin mostly handled it well. vance even sort of flipped it back "I have made it".

Also points to Charlie Kirk for owning it. My money's still cautiously on the end goal for Matt and Trey being some Freddy Got Fingered ploy to stick it to Paramount. Their criticism is bad by South Park's standards and I know they have serious beef with Paramount.
Why is it that if you make a horror film or game and your monster is a zombie, nobody cares. But call it a wendigo and suddenly everyone goes fucking mad.
