At this point this shit's pretty much blown over, but people still want to talk about it like it's hot off the press.
The worst part is people are trying to say "this is why he thinks this" and it's almost the same shit. People say he's white (He's not, he's actually mixed and none of it's white) and his parents abused him (If I remember correctly, he mentioned before that he had a misunderstanding and was a "dumb kid")
I'm just sitting here waiting for the next video.

If there's one thing I hate about Internet culture it's that people just can't let anything go, especially political stuff. It's why you still see the anti-Gamergaters rant about it even though it's basically dead. To let go would be to admit defeat. And that's why I think people are still talking about Jon as though it's still relevant even though it happened, what, a month ago?

tbh i'm shocked that it became a thing in the first place, because yeah i swear that debate was like back in january or some shit. i had briefly heard about it and gave zero shits because i watch jontron to laugh, because he is a funny individual. so long as he isn't standing stark naked in time square, screaming into a megaphone about the inevitable downfall of the supreme race (while jacques flys around dropping pamphlets containing quotes from mein kampf), we're cool.

actually i'd kind of respect if he did that, in a way.

and i was kind of...baffled and disappointed he only did a very small cameo sidequest, yeah. and that this is what people lost their shit over. 10 lines of ECK. jesus christ.

On one side, people claim it's censorship for removing what amounted to grunts. On the other side, there was a Steam mod from the company justifying this change because these grunts could make people traumatized. All because of Jon Tron saying ECK. Then again, one shouldn't underestimate the power of autism, especially when one thinks the ECK sounds can make one feel uncomfortable.

i personally was on the side of "i hope you don't force us to download the patch that will cut john out", just because it was mildly insulting that they'd drop john months after he'd finished his job (and when most people probably didn't even know he had a part since iirc he only mentioned it on twitter), even though the game was finalized, for saying something kinda dumb on the internet. he was already paid at that point, the only people they were hurting were themselves.
