PatricianTV dropped his own video on Maldy a few days ago.
I'm not hearing anything new so far in my listen. It's kind of amazing how widely disliked Jason is and kinda was.

I wonder what the threshold was for him to become mainstream infamous, I remember following the WoW drama with him and Yamato, which certainly made people aware of his narcissism (and what got me into Kiwifarms), but he was still kinda big at that time, what was the tipping point? I don't follow this thread much, neither can I stomach videos with him, so bear with me

Ross Scott calling out Mald for misrepresenting Stop Killing Games on the first days of the Stop Destroying Games EU campaign and killing the initial momentum.

This community feature about the end of SKG(where ross scott directly calls out thor's bullshit) mainly, it got big youtubers like moistcritikal and pewdiepie to come out and shit on jason.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=HIfRLujXtUoRoss made a thirty minute long response to PirateSoftware as a part of his most recent report on his campaign.
But there's other small instances that made normies focus on his bizarre behaviour, such as this incredibly damning interview on drk(jason tries to go on DrK to rehab his image but DrK will not let him do so)
Dropping a split archive of Dr. K's side at 360p, 1:30 chunks where the first two are the interview and the third is roughly 40 minutes left over for K alone talking to his audience.

I believe it started the moment he had to share a gaming space on equal footing with his peers and if you look carefully at how people have perceived him in any of his pre-streamer endeavors, it's always the same: he wants to be the main character and has always been hostile towards anyone that didn't submit to him or worship him. He is a prime example of a narcissist.

Kinda funny how he went the exact Elon route. "Many" people liking him, talking about him, sharing his shorts. (...), aaaand he's such a shithead even the same normies are now piping up about how they totally disliked him all along.

The steam discussions have been dry. Mald continues to watch them and ban people, it makes me wonder how many people have been banned from the heartbound hub. Here's a few that I did manage to grab.

The game linked does look similar to Heartbound, but probably more competently made and more likely to actually get finished. Buttgnome Boy deleted the reply linking to it, of course. Isn't it a good thing that fans of your game can be aware of another similar indie game they might enjoy? Just drop the "support indie devs, go make games," grift once they're sharing a target audience and could take away money from your scam, right Mald?

He is definitely using the OSRS thing as an attempt at a fresh start to new viewers who haven't heard of him. He's doing his old schtick to any new watchers about his game dev experience, free game dev resource website, community discord, go make games etc.
How many times has he mentioned his dad used to work at Blizzard Jagex?

Thumbing through old posts to see what his numbers were right before his break and his return, saw this post. I'd imagine any view botting scripts/services would have support for the bots to vote in polls, and seeing that this poll ended in a literal 50/50 is highly suspicious. (and funny!)

Did I just tune in to see him picking the theme by himself? The vote was 50/50 and he chose it?

Also bumping this because it's funny.
Anyone know what his actual numbers are? I found 1 Twitch tracking site saying he was averaging 4k viewers in July and 3500 the past couple days he's been back. That 3500 number seems too high so I was wondering if that was inflated.

Streamcharts seems to be more accurate with viewers, twitchtracker more accurate with subs, though Jason has a sub goal direct on his channel page with the true amount of subs direct from Twitch, so that's the benchmark.

Wait a second. Did Mald work in Amazon at the same time as his dad?
And left the same month just like his dad?

Jason was hired first in February, according to his LinkedIn. Joeyray joined soon after in June. Joeyray was retired from Blizzard and likely bored and wanted something to do. Both of them quit in September 2016 when Jason wins his second DEF CON Black Badge and Jason begins working for Eagle Research Group to go "h4xx0ring p0w3r pl4nt5" (government compliance testing).

It uses a custom build of Godot 3.5, has real dynamic lights, and some basic header swaps and magic obfuscation so it can't be dumped in 2 seconds.
Inside, most of the files seem well organized, with per-character logic in files, translation files for multi-language support, etc.

Sounds a tad bit more competent, yeah.
