OSRS is definitely worth a try, especially considering the free to play version still has a lot of content. Its not quite like it was back in its prime but its been getting bigger again ever since they stopped pandering to fags.

Multiple servers across both OSRS and RS3 were going up and down, so it's a pretty big attack and the game was basically unplayable for about an hour.
One guy made a joke about Mald in the replies to Jagex's above tweet:

So someone in Mald's chat told him people are accusing him of DDoSing the servers, and he hasn't shut up about it for at least thirty minutes.

It's about a 50/50 chance it was a DDOS or just Jagex's notoriously terrible servers shitting themselves because of record numbers of people online. That's why Mald is playing Runescape btw, it's the hot thing right now. Big WoW streamers playing Runescape has been a big deal for the last 6-8 weeks (making Mald late to the party) which has led to multiple new records being set just in the last month or two. He's doing it because it's trendy.
