I think probably a good deal of them did, maybe something similar to the ratio between people that watch gore videos to be horrified by them and people that watch gore videos because they want to do something like that to somebody in the future. What percentage of the fluffy community has psychological issues in your opinion?" and "Do you feel like people in the fluffy community who say it's just fictional do it out of justification or is their something more nefarious?"
I do think that people were using it as an excuse to live out fantasies that they probably have in real life. I good tell were the people who could ABSOLUTELY NOT handle any kind of hugbox material or literally any kind of positivity ever. I liked a story of a fluffy being adopted and spoiled by a happy family as much as a story about a fluffy being eaten by wolves, and yet people would flock to the hugbox stories to whine about it being too happy. Why would they care? It's like if there's people out there that want to treat fluffies kindly (which is probably more how it would be in real life) then that must mean you really ARE bad for only wanting to hurt them, so they gotta freak out about it.
