The problem is that this whole Roblox scandal is probably going to be used as ammunition to pass the SCREEN act and call for even more internet censorship in the US and elsewhere.

The Internet being locked down was already going to happen and we were never going to even be allowed to have a say in it. TPTB will keep winning in perpetuity because plebs like us never do what needs to be done.
 
Controversial opinion: this is a war between two factions of pedophiles.
The old guard of pedos hates the new guard that use the Internet to groom, they're threatened by it.
The old guard wants to keep having exclusive access to groom kids in primary and secondary schools.
Kids have been getting groomed by schools by over 100 years. Whether it's to be a good goy slave for mr shekelstein, a submissive cuck, a family-hating child-murdering whore, a psychopath bully, a good conformist. School teachers had access to groom and sexually assault children. They benefitted from destroying the traditional family because it took the father, the patriarch, out of the picture, so the kids, raised by single mothers, were weak and unprotected and easily groomed and assaulted. They benefitted from the state getting more power over speech as the state will protect its own workers and censor any news about the child grooming and rape happening in order to protect its image.
This old guard is threatened by the new guard that grooms over the internet where they can be more or less anonymous and don't have the danger of having to groom with their real life identity like the old guard. The new guard is stealing the meat from the old guard and keeping it for itself, so the order has come from the old guard to end the new guard. Take phones away from kids and send them back to school-prison where they can get (((educated))) instead.

YouTube can't help taking down videos like this in the public interest at the absolute worst possible times, but when it comes to the worst AI slop niggercoal in existence on the platform they're all of a sudden completely helpless. What is it with these billion dollar corporations opting to cover shit up constantly instead of putting even a basic effort in enforcement against malicious users on their respective platforms? Many thanks to the archivers but at some point the question must be asked whether this is a simple "mistake" or an example of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" but for corporate scum.
 
Real old heads will remember when Fleskjherta got banned in 2008 for making a model with breasts. If anything I remember the site being excessively moderated in the time of Shedletsky. People would e-date but I got a lot of different circles on the site and never once got the impression I was talking to an adult or was being goaded into a sexual conversation.

Something in the culture has changed. Kids were always told never to offer personal information online but those were like bogeymen stories, obviously it happened but it was never going to be a child’s primary risk exposure to sexual abuse.

I really do think it’s the online pornography. It was always possible to access it but the early 10s were the first time you could get fast-loading pornography on a handheld cellular device. Check your YouTube shorts and see how many memes are just straight up censored porn. Obviously it didn’t turn everyone into sexual predators but it seems clear to me from all of the EPI stuff that makes up the bulk of sexual predation on Roblox that early childhood access to porn one shotted a certain segment of the population and the sheer scale of it means that the number of active predators out in the open is booming.

At some point children are going to need their own internet. In retrospect it seems totally unacceptable that a site like, say, Newgrounds existed in the state that it did. I don’t know how you accomplish this without some form of age verification.

That's assuming if your society isn't literally overran by Jews, Christians and Cryptojews. In an ideal society advertisement and education would be more than enough to restrict the children from getting unauthorized porn and groomers are getting systematically exposed and taken out as they pop up, but the problem here is we indeed are, and they will likely plan on using pretexts like this Roblox Incident to push what I can best sum up as Noahide Laws in anything but name. They will sacrifice one of their own kind if it comes to being able to force the world to kneel to them.

Also didn't they start the entire porn situation to begin with? This sounds like a create problem, create the reaction and provide the solution reverse psyop.

Thing is that, more assertive parents are usually more than enough to prevent cases of children being groomed on Roblox to happen. If they catch you in the crossfire as well, there is always an alternate motive and it is always malicious.

Because then they'd be 99-percent-of-a-billion-dollar corporations and not billion-dollar corporations. It's why Roblox itself did somewhere between 'fuck' and 'all' about the problem; their entire financial foundation was built upon it.

Facebook was a bunch of hip cool college kids in 2004.
Now it's a bunch of over-the-hill lame 40 year olds.
It's the same users.

Instagram was a bunch of fun fresh girls in 2010.

You can already see TikTok's userbase is getting older and uncool.
This isn't because of more older people joining.
It's the people who signed up in 2016 being a decade older.

What do you do when you create an open-world game for kids, but now it's ten years later, still incredibly popular (and profitable) and those kids are now teenagers and want to do normal teenager things inside your open-world game?

It's kind of overly optimistic to plan ahead for when your users are 5, 10, 20 years older than when their parents created an account for them, but it's becoming pretty clear that it's a consideration that needs to be taken into account.

He wastes his breath. If he wasn't a lolicon creep then he'll be taken with dead seriousness, because for all we know most of the stuff he says are theoretically possible at a minimum.

The entire thing with pedophiles and grooming does indeed sound like it began from both parents being just either uncaring and/or incompetent and the government maintainimg a system that enables real pedophiles and groomers while it freely crushes you for small transgressions that would render you a weirdo lolcow at its worst while fully knowing people are either enabling them or telling people that "you will roll over and die and there is nothing you can do about it."

You cannot have the pedophiles grooming the kids and their souls being offered to evil corporations and governments if the parents were a lot more aware over what they do. Obviously whoever began it needs to be held accountable, but it cannot be allowed to be used as a pretext for full blown real ID Internet.
