I found it hilarious to see them trying to play off Dax's dressing down of Vito as just a bit for the show because they didn't want to cede any ground to their haters. You can't really write if off as a performance when everything he said against Vito was objectively and observably true. Now you have this loudmouth dumbfuck trying to defend himself from what they initially claimed was just entertainment. His ego is so brittle that he can't even pretend to be in on their supposed joke.
 
It's not even a matter of quantity of incidents. There could be zero incidents and hypothetically, they could still be committing the wrongdoing alleged. The allegation is the misrepresentation of the safety mechanisms on the platform, not an allegation that X number of children have been victimized. Considering the number of children who are on the platform and their failure to prohibit sexual items on their marketplace and sexual games for adults to play with children, the goal should be to fix these issues BEFORE a single child is victimized. Prevention is the issue.

Vito is the same man who argued, without any irony, that "non-offending" pedophiles should be handled with empathy, even if it has a 99% failure rate. Now, he's gatekeeping whether we should be concerned about child predation until it hits a threshold he no longer considers palatable.

So, the real question is how many children would Vito allow to be abused through Roblox before he'd involve the authorities? It's obviously more than one, so 10? 100? 1,000? How many need to be molested before it's time for the regulators to regulate this cesspool?

It’s truly embarrassing what Eric July has done to #comicsgate. They should all be ashamed of themselves. July not only fulfilled his promises but created a viable path for anyone else to do the same. This is the American Dream put into practice and action.

Even if we rule guys like Eric out as exceptions rather than the rule, this shit isn't fucking hard. Plenty of people fund their own comics through Kickstarter, GoFundMe etc, receiving far less money than Vedo or EVS in the process, and manage to fulfill their obligations with little to no issues.

I don't know what EVS's excuses are, but Vedo has nothing else in his life except a shitty podcast no one listens to; he has nothing but time to bang this comic out. None of the excuses he has given for delaying Superkiller are acceptable, even for a first-timer.

There's no need for comparisons at this point, they are fucking scammers plain and simple.

His primary excuse is that he has to draw everything by hand, and quality takes time. Nevermind that he's had projects which he was still SCRIPTING years after they were supposed to be in the customer's hands. If anything, his excuse makes less sense, because it's him who has to do the work on the comic (while he spends more time on shitty livestreams than drawing the art, instead) whereas Vito outsources it all, so the pedo can default to "the people I hired are working slow, not me!"

But both are ridiculously unprofessional slobs who have no respect for themselves or their audience.

Eric July might not be the most eloquent speaker or the best storyteller, his comics might be somewhat mediocre, but he's a competent businessman who knows the industry.

That is insane. These are all red flags anyone with a handful of brain cells should be able to spot a mile off, but I'm sure the ComicsGate dickriders were distracted by the 'THIS IS HOW WE FUCK THE BIG PUBLISHERS' rhetoric.

I also had a look at EVS's art an it's the most generic capeshit stuff I've ever seen, indistinguishable from guys like Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane before he overdosed on edgy pills.

And he can't even do that excuse properly, because he already said the third world Mexican artist he hired finished the pages last year. It was only this year when he was still behind schedule that all of a sudden the colorist and letterer's made their debut, and only then did Vedo just so happen to notice a number of issues with the pages he was previously happy with.

And even if he did use those excuses properly, it's still his fault because he's in charge: he made the decision to hire incompetent people. What a buffoon.
