Maybe it's a sign of the times, but as an avid kiddy MMO player back when I was a child, I don't recall games like Toontown, Club Penguin, Wizard101 etc. ever having an issue with predators, nor do I have any personal stories about creepy/suspect encounters. You could attribute this to the fact none of these games allowed UGC, but even so, Roblox certainly has the resources to painstakingly vet what kind of content gets through.
Fortnite is the only modern kiddy game I really know about, but I don't think they have it as bad over there either.

i have no idea if it's just a change of the times or what, but i do agree ugc (user uploaded items) is a big problem since it allowed predators to create heavily pornified avatars and dress as pornified females to attract attention from young boys like they do in vrchat

it also allowed a lot of teens to dress as femboy/furry shit which you see a lot in some games which ofc attracts weirdos (thats a given for anything to do with furries)

I specifically chose to play Roblox back in the day because of the lack of moderation. Hated the chat censorship of other games. The only thing that's changed is that pedophiles aren't just the TCaP type that wants to meet irl, there are now EPI gooners that can harm kids without leaving the house. Roblox has always been like this. The only place you could realistically get banned was the forums... and even then, you had to try.
