I don't think it's actually a pyramid scheme since it only has three levels and they're all distinct: Nebula, the video creators and the fans. A pyramid scheme would be if the fans were also paid based on how many fans they got to sign up, who were paid based on how many fans they got to sign up... and so on.

Ah shit
I wonder if older Nebula creators are paid/get a finder's fee based on the newer creators they pull in? Like, don't all Nebula creators have to pay a fee to join the platform, I mean become "co-owners" of Nebula 🙄

If it's not a Pyramid scheme, the payment model is definitely MLM-esque enough to make any financially savvy creator to give a Nebula invitation the a side eye.

I always thought it was interesting, that a huge part of the Second Thought Nebula scandal, aside from them falsely accusing him of antisemitism (note: all Second Thought said was that he didn't want his taxpayer dollars going to Israel, not "Gas the Kikes" as the Nebula subreddit alleged) was that the other creators were pissed they had to buy out Second Thought's share in Nebula. If the company wasn't a pyramid scheme/doing weird financial shenanigans, I have no idea why buying out Second Thought would be such a big financial burden (well, unless other Nebula-ers defended him? IDK something weird went down with him being kicked off the platform).

The Pee-Wee for white millennial women premiered, they posted the first episode on Youtube for free. The numbers are surprisingly bad, especially considering they gave it a clickbait title for some reason.

Nebula's clearly hit a wall with subscribers, they've been trying to diversify away from just Breadtube but it makes the site have even less of a personality. The Dead-End Dreamhouse is on a biweekly schedule so if you just want to watch that you get two entire episodes a month.

Wow, those really are bad numbers! Like, I follow a small UFO podcast channel on Youtube that pulls in over 40k per new stream!

You know, it wouldn't shock me if the Breadtube reputation of Nebula creators limits its potential audience. For example, on Tumblr (which has become surprisingly conservative compared to the Tumblr of 2015) Nebula is known as the platform full of weird far left Breadtubers who support radical Islamic terrorism.

This show is filling me with weird feelings I don't think I should like. It's like the Wendy's mascot is trying to seduce me with things she shouldn't.

Honestly, I want to know where the name "Breadtube" even comes from. It's such a weird descriptor.
It's based off the communist book "The Conquest of Bread". This was an 1892 book by the russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin, and it details the ideal society which naturally, is anarchist communism.

So I watched the episode. In Full.

WHAT. THE. FUCK! 😱😨

The mailwoman's (?) Unibomber "teheheh, domestic terrorism bombings for LGBT rights" line was absolutely out of fucking line! WTF is wrong with Breadtubers/Nebula-ers - why do they have a weird fixation on domestic terrorism? Lindsay's Space Chicken trilogy was full of "Timothy McVeigh was an unsung hero!" plot points. (Note: I am an Oklahoman, no, McVeigh absolutely was fucking not. He was one of America's' worst homegrown terrorists)

None of these Nebula folks should be allowed to buy fertilizer in the Home Depot/Lowes outdoor section. Heck, how are they even allowed on PLANES?

Timothy McVeigh killed babies because he was too retarded to be allowed in the army. He's the OG pooner school shooter.

Actually there's a lot of evidence that Timothy Mcveigh was a CIA patsy, so the CIA could better go after right wing militia groups and anti globalist forces to delegitimize him.

I didn't know this thread existed but i may as well share some anecdotal evidence.
My co worker, who binge watches 4+ hours of youtube video essays a day as one of those 'muh media literacy' people, just cancelled his nebula subscription. Not for any political reasons, but because the content was getting stale. (and, i like to think, because i bullied him into it)

Well, the Nebula CEO seems to have pissed away all the company's funds on his friend's vanity projects, so there's been a lack of Nebula exclusive content (like Nebula exclusive weekly shows) for at least 2 months now?

Also, according to posts I found via Reddit search, it seems Nebula's pro-Hamas views/Nick Fuentes levels of antisemitism has finally come home to roost, leading to subscribers canceling their Nebula subscription:

The funniest is, the retarded troon (or pooner? I keep forgetting & they're too ugly for me to tell by sight) Jessie Gender's "The Elite Jews Running the Country are covering up the Khazar Theory Truth!" history video seems to have been the final straw for many leftists. Like, "whoops, I was subscribing to a Nazi streaming platform by accident".

On the topic of Nebula Nazi's, good friend of "my cross burning klanpa was a hero that did nothing wrong!" Lindsay Ellis - Breadtube podcaster Jamie Loftus, recently appeared as a guest on Nebula Pee Wee's Playhouse rip off "Amy's Dead End Dreamhouse".

Jamie Loftus is also a virulent antisemite (as is Breadtube tradition) & literally made a recent podcast meant to cover the history of Paul Rubens (I guess in honor of their Amy's Dreamhouse cameo?) to be entirely about "did you know PeeWee was a Kike Jew? EWH GROSS, I watched that show as a child. Sickos. Did you know his dad was an IDF airman who won medals? EWH I'm so glad they're all dead! Paul Rubens was born from evil!"

TLDR, if you want to listen to antisemitic video essays spewed by self important grifters - Rumble is free/has way more content.

Maggie Mae Fish is reputedly an actual woman.
Looking it up apparently it's a "queer cis woman". On the butch side I guess. With a "non binary" partner who's "hetero presenting" and it identifies as "bi/pan".

Always gender every BreadTuber as "it." It makes it easier to do the needful when it's time to push all their corpses into ditches and they're in human shapes.

How where you able to contain the impulse to call them a retard?

If Lindsay has become "Saved", I wonder if she'll step down from her role at Nebula/take down her anti-Christian content, like the abortion documentary (wait, is that even on Nebula?) 🤔
she just has to wait till they kick her off the website for big grifter payout

...that's actually an extremely logical theory.

Perhaps Lindsay shifted to "fuck the K#kes! Klanpa was right!" themed videos (instead of her usual Disney-themed content) in order to intentionally get kicked off Nebula, & score a buyout before the platform inevitably collapses? So far (or at least that the public's been made aware of), *antisemitism is the only known reason why a creator got kicked off the platform/bought out (*allegedly - despite much searching, the closest to antisemitism I found from Second Thought was railing against AIPAC/the sending of US taxpayer dollars to Israel. Second Thought, being a commie, thinks US taxdollars should be used for commie stuff like universal free healthcare & building high speed railways).

Did we ever find out how much Second Thought's payout was? (Maybe via a CEO tweet, or from a butthurt fellow Nebula creator?) Second Thought himself doesn't talk about his tenure at Nebula, so I assume there was some non-disparagement agreement within his settlement.

The real question is, does Nebula (as a company) even have enough funds left in its piggybank to buyout a creator who does a no-no & gets canceled?🤔

Jill Bearup got kicked off of Nebula due to Lindsay's insistence and Tom Scott's fan backlash against a TERF. She's doing quite well now, but that was in the midst of Lindsay's cancellation/after the great Twittering but before the Omelas flounce.
