And just like that it's down again

I found a subtle ambitious project, about 1000km long single line roughly following N50°, that for now, begins halfway through Germany and makes it through Poland on the other side.

I could've swore that google forced a phone number to create new Gmail accounts. Today I learned you don't need one
if that were the case, you could use a service like textnow.com to create a temporary phone number. I'm not sure if textnow is still working, but it's done me wonders on various occasions.

Why are these sites always created and run by retards?

Just once, can't something like this be made by a based individual, who arbitrarily bans everyone making trans flags?

Can we make our own better version without having constant uptime issues or getting data breached?

Been said already but because this is just reddit's r/place but not hosted on reddit. The type of person to create and run something like this, as well as the type of person to sit there nolifing pixelart mmorpg.io are just redditors.

There’s a fucking giant Palestine flag being built next to Gaza. More interestingly, you can see HasanAbi’s Twitch profile being built below the flag. I suspect he might have gotten his fans to build or help build the flag.

Jerusalem surprisingly has more crosses and other Christian symbols than Palestine flags. While this makes sense considering Jerusalem is a Christian holy city, it seems risky to put Christian drawings in a place full of seething trannies and Muslims. I guess they are more focused on gassing Jews removing Zionist symbols and leave the crosses alone.

Also, some gigachads drew the Tank Man picture from the infamous massacre in Beijing, China. Seems like seething tankies are trying to grief the image.

But this has the potential to be something cool and fun and international, not tied to any shitty service. People here are having a good time with it. I can see articles written in a year like "how one dedicated group painted over France with an accurate map of Middle Earth." If it just wasn't run by retards...

It would be even funnier if you could wait until autists have spent a bunch of money on pixels drawing a huge gay furry and then delete it and ban them all. Watch them run off crying to Reddit and scare off all the other trans flag painters so people can have fun in peace.

Since Wplace is server is being buckbroken by the pngs I will archive today's Spirits bay.

Checked near to where I live, there is a tranny flag line dangerously approaching my location. It looks like no right-wingers are bothering to use this. Go to the capital of any western nation you'll see a sign bitching about what ever the alternative right-wing party is while shilling for what ever party the progs use (Greens, Die linke, lib DEMs). UK seems to be the exception, unless you go to places like Telford which is ran by Reform. This site basically encompasses every reddit stereotype.

So earlier I went and did a little exploration of the map,
First off was racing shit, so we have
Daytona.webp Talladega.webp
Daytona and Talladega
Charlotte.webp Indy.webp
Charlotte and Indianapolis
Watkins Glen.webp Kannapolis.webp
And finally, Watkins Glen and Kannapolis (Hometown of Dale Earnhardt.)

Once you break away from major population centers and find places that aren't so small that they don't have anything to really talk about, you do find some neat shit. Sure, still lots of Undertale and Pride shit all over the place, but you see some normal stuff break though.

Staying in the US, we now have Nevada and Fallout New Vegas locations.
Vegas.webp Boulder City.webp Primm.webp
Vegas, Boulder City, and Primm.
Mr New Vegas.webp Goodsprings.webp
Finally a random Mr New Vegas quote I saw near Primm and Goodsprings.

Leaving the United States, I took a little vacation in France to visit Normandy.
Normandy.webp Normandy 2.webp Normandy 3.webp
Areas like this and, later on, the DMZ really reminded me of school and doodling in notebooks, I won't lie.
Vatican.webp
Had a layover in Rome and visited the Vatican, I thought the undertale shit was funny since they were in religious garb.

The DMZ was neat, someone had went and clearly marked it with black pixels. I didn't check the whole span of it, but I'm sure you can find a bunch of little doodles along it.

Someone posted Pyongyang already, but here's my screenshot of it.

And finally, after my long trip...
Dam Go Boom.webp
I watched 3 Million Chinese die. Thank you, Locksneed Fartin.

Honestly exploring the map is a lot of fun, it's easy to lament the amount of annoying copy and paste shit all over the place, but I find that if you tune it out and just explore, you come to appreciate it. Site seems to be down again when I'm posting this, so no idea if any of these locations have changed much since I took the screencaps, but I'll definitely check a few when it's back online. When the site eventually dies, I hope a archive is saved as I would love to explore this map in full in it's final state.

A few more announcements in the server about the data leak, starting from the initial scare up to current.
1754865054982.webp 1754865082333.webp
Someone also brings up an interesting point about the use of OpenStreetMaps API while a channel discusses the data leaks:
1754865309187.webp 1754865239119.webp
And elsewhere in the land of Xitter, someone claims the website is "vibe coded" and plans to make a security write up. (Archive)

Overall despite the servers being off and on, I'm not risking logging back in at this time with an experimental account just to get swapped with someone else. I don't trust the announcements put out thus far, nor launching a project like this and thinking the best course of action is rapid-fire nuclear strikes on the attached discord to make people quieter.

Pixelplanet is what you're looking for if you want a fully chudded up version of wplace. It's been around for years and it's got very little moderation. The downside tends to be that as previously mentioned it's been around for a long while, so much of the land is already claimed by some faction. You'd have to look around for somewhere to create art without getting wiped out by them. Maybe the Farms can set up something there too.

Honestly, a breath of fresh air looking at this. Feels nice to not see trans flags, undertale/deltarune trashbins and virtue signaling galore in every area I look.

Minus the uh, the constant gooner stuff and whatever inane thing that exists, this what I like to imagine an r/place alternative to look like. Where everyone can create their stupid things and not get booted for the sake of pleasing a tiny minority, a certain political party (leftists) or to look morally virtuous. Everyone gets a part and that's what I like to imagine when I think of an infinite canvas site, unlike wplace where "griefing of politicians" are allowed as long as those politicians are right wingers.

Best of all, again, website has little to undertale/deltarune stuff. Needed that more than anything.
