regarding cynthia hall from quintheo's video (aludiana, mina silverkin), seemingly did in fact work at blizzard, if her linkedin is to be believed, during the time maldster was at blizzard

some preliminary googling shows that she isnt a complete random and has some form of fan presence

there might've been something along 50 to 70 qa testers at blizzard at the time diablo 3 was released, before the 2012 layoffs, and having worked at a corpo before i can safely say everyone knows everyone in those departments, especially in team based projects

Perhaps, but personally I think he's trying to hide something which hasn't been discovered yet. There may be some very specific thing that people haven't pieced together yet.

Rate me late, but I finally heard about why the name of his "game" sounds so familiar.

I don't know why, but this guy is Keffels level of hatable, maybe because he went against a content creator I like that it's far easier to hate him than any of the objectively worse people on the farms.

I dont think its any one thing, but rather the cumulative effect of all his many, many negative traits. Unwarranted ego? Shifty programming? Furry degeneracy? None of these are new, but when you put them all together in a greasy nepo baby package...
 
I've never been interested in earthbound/undertale so I never really cared about heartbound but watching some of the slop videos got me a bit wildered. I got the impression that heartbound is barely a game. It's a 2 hour unfinished game with 1 fight, a handful puzzles (5?), 1 out of 3 worlds available. I assume then that that 2 hour is spent in 1 world and all the dialogues meant jack shit so it's essentially a 1 route game...with no ending cause it ends abruptly. This is somehow 3 chapters out of 5 already. Or rather 2.98% chapters.

So how the fuck did he manage to claim "thousands of routes" over and over? There's talking out of your ass but this sounds like a whole nother level! Assuming the other 2 worlds gets completed and have the same amount of play time and assets, that's 6 hours of play through total. If i'm being charitable and give mald benefit of the doubt, my brain could probably visualize like 6 routes with what I understood but thousands? It sounds like what he has is not even 5% of what he is promising.

He can't even pretend to apologize either. At most, he will give an apology like "Sorry that you got mad at me...." in at least 100 words saying how he did nothing wrong.

One example is how cocky he was responding to Ross Scott's SKG video and how much he loved talking shit on SKG to the video but when anyone offers to talk to him about SKG publicly, he refuses. He wouldn't even talk to Ross off the record and deleted Ross's comments like a child. He's so irredeemable it's fun to witness and everyone has known someone like this in real life, usually in school where you're forced to be around them. In the real world, these people usually don't get anywhere in life because they set off people's bullshit meters. Mald is a good example of this, his entire professional career can be tied to his dad being a Blizzard legend.

Got his internship at Blizzard when he needed a job, admitted this was due to nepotism. Then got a full time job later on when he obviously couldn't get anything else, anywhere else, and worked at Blizzard.
Now, we know pretty much everyone at Blizzard got an offer Amazon Games for more than Blizzard was paying and he took it, it had nothing to do with him being special.

This helped him build his resume, which he comically pads, and helped him get the "hacker" job for Eagle Research, the contractor that went under and was his last real job. It's unclear how relevant DEF CON was for that because he lies about the timeline and claims it was what got him the job but the badge he says got "the government" (a contractor) to reach out was attained after his time with them.
Speaking of DEF CON, DEF CON 33 is going on right now so it wouldn't be surprising if he's there right now and said he wasn't going to avoid personal confrontations.

Yeah, at the time I didn't really have a reason to give a shit. "Oh some hacker put a really stupid hacker reference in their game? Color me surprised and completely unimpressed." But it definitely is like that circle to do shit like that.

He thought that tracking everything single player choice and interaction would be cool, but realistically it comes down to whether the story cares if you touched a coffee cup or not and if the writer can meaningfully leverage all of that data in a way that matters. Based on his writing, he can't. But the novelty is what sold the game. He likely thinks it's a Psycho Mantis equivalent, but that whole thing was only impactful because no one had done it before, and it also wasn't plastered on the box that a character would do something like that. It also doesn't even really break the 4th wall, so inherently less creative. It literally just represents a waste of his time.
