This is no different than before. Nick had A LOT of free help--even since the days of Maddox and Tonkasaw--from the Dick Show fanbase, then the weebs, then the trial watchers. They would spam people's chats and mentions on SM to tell them to go on Nick's show. They would also send him free show topics (most of them ignored), and he had free moderators, timestampers, and clippers.

Nick pissed it away by forgetting who made him successful. He had a good formula and cultish base he squandered in petulance.

I think he's also using that style to blunt criticism by obliquely acknowledging but more making an excuse for why a year after his arrest he's still barely functional (along with why he wasn't really functioning for years before; alas, it doesn't excuse his entire life, but that's what he's getting at, definitely). You see, plebian dummy, he has deep and complex forces acting on him that poors and dumbs and others just can't understand - it's like leveraging one's wealth, you see.

I really think this is one of these situations where it might take more money than it's worth.
