Genshin really asking the most random questions in latest survey. I got anemo hipostarsis, natlan weekly boss, varesa, dori, if i like dark or light clothing on male and female characters, what design i want next etc.

I miss the cubes. It was such a genshiny design with genshiny combat. Anemo hipostasis is my favourite too, it has no real counter and forces you to glide around. If it released today, it would not make wind streams so you have to roll for venti or a flier.

Is [Other players don't have a good rating of this character] new? Because if so it's really funny to see hoyo saying it out lol. Straight up blame the youtuber / tiktoker who told you to not roll a unit.

Are these future skin ideas? They all suck. School uniform? flight attendant? MECHAS? Pls not another barefoot pilot waifu, don't be Sandrone pls not like this (A police skin would be really funny to see tho)

Oh nonono this question is clearly targeted at Varka wanters and hoyo will not deliver.

Nod-Krai Fatui is gonna have mini tanks and "battle"ships. It's fine if Snezyhana being the high tech, but at least keep that the whole nation theme rather than SUCH DANGER FROM DELUSION POWER and FATUI HARBINGER. It's such a lame FF14 Garlean army wannabe turn around.

I liked the fatui cause they had this aura of "fantasy mad science". A faction that has magical weapons not so different from vision holders (heroes) but it's anti-ethical, steals from other magic sources, destroys the enviroment, drives them crazy, kills them etc.

Giving them futuristic tanks and robots kinda kills that vibe. I'm sure the lore excuse will be that robots are moon powered so it doesn't work outside nodkrai anyway.

With all the futuristic technology they're shoving in, it's like they remembered people weren't too keen on Aloy, asked themselves why that is, heard people say it's because she doesn't fit since Horizon has futuristic robot animals while Genshin is fantasy with magic, and then decided to throw in futuristic technology as a huge middle finger.

Edit: My survey questions were about how much I liked Raiden (as a playable character), the Fatui agents, La Signora (as a boss) and the Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Also asked for my opinion on hair types on male and female characters, favorite personalities and favorite outfit types. Now I'm interested in knowing what they're using this survey for, because these are random questions for seemingly no reason.

Shitting on Rememento part Whatever the sequel! The new update is here and it's so bad. The reddit community is dead. It's just outright dead. People probably dropped the game because of the nothing burger update so now no one cares.

That or they can't login. Yeah the game is still bugged as fuck.

Like enemies spawning in out of bounds areas.

It's important to note that you can't climb in this game. So uh he's stuck. Help him.

Also bugged roulette

Pardon the moon runes but in the game you get a daily roulette and you get extra rewards for every third spin. I remember this because they had it at launch too.

Which is why I stuck with it for little over a week. Freebies.... Unless the game decides to crash on me and I couldn't be assed.

Anyway this user has spun the wheel three times. And the game bugged it and never gave the rewards. This has happened to others too.

Finally they are hiring. 18 listings, 3 active ones, 15 closed ones. Yikes.

Basically: It's all design jobs. UI/UX, character illustration and character modeling.

Not programing or coding. Nothing to fix the fucking bugs!

Dragonspine was the first area I 100%'ed because I never wanted to set foot on that mountain again lol. Filled out the survey and I was asked about the Chess fight, the Geo Cube, Abyss Mages, Thoma and I was asked about characters shoe styles so F's in the chat for the person dealing with all the footfag responses.

It's been years, Dragonspine has not been relevant in years, and you don't find that mechanic anywhere else. I don't think anybody would notice or even care if they just removed it entirely.
There's mechanics similar to dragonspine in other areas (like the fog island, electro tainted spots and trees that kill you in inazuma) but unlike dragonspine there are world story quests tied to those that let you cleanse the effects. I think dragonspine is the way that it is specifically to showcase how fucked it is environmentally to the point where it can't be fixed. I'm bummed we'll never got the durin fight they were clearly hyping up for years, the area NEEDS more shit just like they NEED to do a followup on that one fontaine quest with the robot that ends on a fucking cliffhanger with world elements hinting there's more shit going on left after you can't even do anything else.
and then decided to throw in futuristic technology as a huge middle finger.
It's funny you mention raiden in your post when the raiden shogun is literally a fucking super-advanced robot made to stand-in for the actual archon. Even then though a lot of the stuff that uses the tech shit has an element of the fantasy/mythology stuff in there usually. Natlans characters made sense looking weird because they're all in outfits similar to what the 6 local tribes wear. Nod-krai character reveal designs don't really seem to evoke the same vibe of the locale IMO unless there's greener areas.

I thought that the Natlan character designs were quite unique for what is ultimately a zany fantasy game. The roller skating and the motorcycles grew on me after a while. The girls look great. It is indeed a shame about the guys, though. Only Ifa looked good.
Are you forgetting the only guy that matters?

I think they were normal, but decided to turn themselves(and everyone else) into pure energy after Abyss attacked. Then they planned to turn the entire Teyvat into phlogiston, but they got stuck for quite some time because somebody had to click OK. That's what the volcano quest is about. And being stuck in phlogiston their minds decomposed into mold and linden honey. Ajaw somehow got a soliary confinement and did not degrade much.
I did a whole textwall talking about this and then realized I got beat to it lmao.

All it needs now is animal robots and gg we've gone full circle.

Stop embarrassing yourself.
An enemy type. recon Log Mek and an upgrade material, Sub detection unit
The one and only mechanical dog with proper intelligent, Seymour. Mind you is that mechanical units in this not-France/England/Italian country have to use a magic source to power up these mechs.

From a year before the two above, "mechanical Crab" as in a re-skin from old enemy type, Ruin defender, for a companion quest. Just because some nerd wanna make a machine with proper emotion intelligent. A serpent as boss fight and a jellyfish normal enemy type. Yada yada, ancient civ technology.

A cosmetic toy for players.

If you don't get the point of complaints, they are about art direction and theme consistency. Look at World of Warcraft technology (vehicles and robots), it can be quite sci-fi, the point art direction isn't jarringly mismatch. Don't even need FF 14 for the other mmo comparison, go back FF 6.

I know. I'm poking fun at it because even Mihoyo (and most gacha developers in general) has no idea what consistency is. Then again, most live services regardless of genre has an artstyle/theme consistency problem where certain corners look mismatched over the other. I could say Natlan was the straw the broke the camel's back for me with the inconsistency between tech and fantasy, but a part of me believes that it was already fucked since the very beginning. The addition of the Nodkrai (fucking aliens in a fantasy setting) is just icing on top of the (shit) cake.

Only Star Rail gets to be a bit more creative in their worldbuilding but Genshin is slowly having some form of feature/scope creep. ZZZ threw away whatever consistency they had in a short span of months. And for whatever Impact 3rd became, best leave it at that.

Speaking of Reverse, I have no idea if in the world of Assassin's Creed has magic, but the people there seem pretty chill to see a floating, talking apple. If I were an Italian in 1479 and saw it, I'd be: "Mamma mia! There's a talkin', floatin' apple in my city! I'm a-gettin' the Church to burn it!".

It's the fact APPLe resembles the Mcguffin from the early Assassin's Creed games

So I was pulling for Miyabi and got Nekomata instead. I really haven't played over the years so between all the codes I always redeem I have something like 18K polys. Is Alice worth pulling for main carry since I have lost the last 50/50? She seemed pretty fun in the demo and the only characters I have are all the freebie characters and Pulchra, Harumasa, and Rina so will probably being using her awhile.

Black Beacon does it again!
o082xnml0khf1.webp

Not even her weapon description was translated at first.

Also the events are a tiny bit better. And I do mean tiny. They added one of those weird ass "feed impatient fast food" games. Aka virtual McDonald's simulator.

There's a "logic maze" minigame with two combat challanges that are pretty neat. Of course lots of Chinese text here too because fuck you.

I guess this is just the new normal now. Half a week into a new phase with lots of Chinese text everywhere until they drop an emergency patch.

Also the cope is insane. People act as though they are professors with PhD in literacy becuase of the story yet they have some batshit retarded takes.

"Don't think about the bad. Ignore it and focus only on the good"

A bit difficult when the bad is so astounding.

"It's translated now so don't talk about it. It doesn't matter"

Talk about being unable to see the forest for the trees. It does matter because it's been happening every goddamn patch.

"Eveything would have been fine if people didn't overreact during launch and forgave the devs instead of punishing them"

????????

"You have to spend money. You owe it to the game. It's your fault that it's bad because you don't spend money"

¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

Any characters can be fun in demo.
Imo, rolling for dps characters in ZZZ is much better than support. Since supports in this game, even 4* or A-rank (nicole and lucy) are still useful on their own. New DPS characters are always decent at worst, so at least aiming for that rather rolling old DPS characters.
For anomaly DPS (Alice), you usually wants a second anomaly DPS to play disorder comp. Mono element anomaly is pretty bad.
However, Alice can trigger her own disorder, so she might be fair better.
Either you go for Jstern25 guy for relative short opinion-guide on how a character works, or this Apel guy having a bunch of videos team comp testing for many characters.

I haven’t done my survey yet, but if this isn’t doing my “Genshin’s Schizo Writing is leaking into character design” theory justice idk what will.

Coming Patch 7 - ambiguous blob characters based on Survey Feedback!
