Hot take i never thought cormac mccarthy was any good and was pretty sure that all my literary friends who did were either nuts or screwing with me i've only read one book by him all the pretty horses and i thought that his style was just a thing to build tension and excitement right at the start of the book but then it went on and on and on and i realized that the whole book would be like that and it was just a fairly boring cowboy story that i can barely remember now but written in a pretentious and unbearable style that drives midwits crazy with excitement.
