Did he truly recover after the WoW arc? It feels like he's been bombarded by allegations and revelations regarding his behaviour one after the other since then. Whatever small gains he makes seem to get swamped by a new shitberg hiting his ship.

As for recovery, I mean it's not impossible; take Vaush for example. Content aside, they are quite similiar in terms of ego and ahem... 'erotic pursuits'.

After Vaush's little on-stream accident, all his past shenanigans were aired for everyone to see. After a fairly disasterous explanation stream, he played it fairly cool, locked the gates to his fortress and stayed in there till the dust settled and it looked like people had forgotten about his drama. His brand was damaged, but he appeared to have rode out the worst of the storm. Of course his latest controversy, inappropriately messaging a minor, just broke the waters, so we'll see how he handles that.

But since the WoW debacle, Jason has tried to sally forth from his citadel on numerous occasions, just reminding everyone that he exists and why they should hate his guts. There is so much dirty laundry on him now and his ego drives him to confront every perceived wrong that he's 'suffered' that he won't allow the internet to forget him, I think it'll be truly difficult for him to do a true fortress arc and wait the shitstorm out.

Recovery for Jason may well be nonexistent or so difficult to attempt that it would feel pointless to even try. I'll give him a bit of kudos for trying to hang onto to what he's got, a lot of other people would have buckled by now.

Thanks for the milk Jason, may your udders never run dry.
 
The part I find the funniest about his game is the fact he uses Baron (the cream-sickle husky he has hard-ons for) as a sort of mascot. You know, the character you don't even get 5 minutes to know, and dies in those same 5 minutes. Just a rock solid bit of evidence Jason is a legit talentless hack who has zero concept on how to develop fucking anything into a finished and worthwhile product.
 
Politics streamers are already bottom of the barrel scum and nothing is expected from them.
They are not expected to take any single real life action. Just talk about things as if they had any understanding or conviction. Talk the talk, but no walk.
As such, almost any drama is recoverable when you have an infinite money glitch.

Maldy, on the other hand, promises a lot of action: learn things, make things, improve yourself, community engagement, charity...
Since he'll never have anything to show for any of these things, he'll never recover.

This reminds me of first time I ever saw Mald. It was the clip of him saying that he, as a developer, refused to even talk to Ross on the premise the entire initiative was "evil". At first he presents himself as a game dev (7 years at Blizzard btw) so at first I was intrigued by the perspective of a game dev who is against it, as no matter how much I debated over it in my head, there was no way for this to be a negative to them. So I was ready to learn some critical new information about development I couldn't even fathom. Needless to say I instantly disliked the nigger then and there.

It drives me nuts. Baron is the ONE driving motivator for the protagonist's journey - not even escapism from his abusive household seems to be Lore's excuse, as evidenced by his chat with the old man - and yet you let the players tell the dog off by dumping garbage in his food bowl. It's not even played up for laughs, like the dog cheerily eating garbage the way that some hungry hungry doggos try to do. His """""story""""" has absolutely nothing going for it. He takes all these character designs by Shaye and puppets them around in a facsimile of an Undertale clone, where the bad choices only exist because the game has to have bad choices. No other reason, no overarching theme. This is the story that someone with a room temperature IQ writes and it truly shows.

But that's why I want more Heartbound. Jason just projects his life onto the canvas, much like a monkey projecting its vomit onto the floor. Heartbound is art in the truest sense in that it is a reflection of the author, and I need to see more of this retard stumbling about.

He's my pick because he actually had something to lose. A huge rise in popularity going off a cliff edge, it's unprecedented. The guy was massive. The fall has been so accelerated and snowball-effecty that it's hard to avert your eyes. You just can't stop looking at this retard single handedly destroying what was a huge following, in almost record time. He has nothing to fall back on either, other large streamers have had drama, but they had/have years of having a decent following behind them, this guy was fresh on the scene, and fucked it up in record time. It would have happened anyway because people were figuring out he was a lying grifter (of course it was obvious to most of us when we first saw him), but the way he has accelerated his fall has just been almost unbelievable. This one will be studied: how NOT to manage your streaming career.
