I can't tell if I'm more enraged at the parents for abusing their kids or at CPS for once again being completely fucking worthless. You could beat the shit out of a kid in front of a CPS investigator and they'd just stand with their thumb up their ass hemming and hawing about how the kid isn't really being endangered and there's nothing they can do.

People probably mirrored his entire channel as soon as the story blew up,a couple of them are already re-uploaded I think? There's also a lot of youtubers that used his footages,so it's not going to disapear.

The only problem is they go against community guidelines, so it'll be a constant reupload and take down with them. They'd be better off mirrored on a place like Liveleak.

The mom just said that she showed the video to authorities in IL North Carolina, who agreed it was totally abusive; the same videos were show to authorities in Maryland and they said it was only "corporal punishment" because there was no tool or weapon used.

edit: shoving Cody into the bookshelf didn't count as a weapon apparently.

A big part of this has to do with the fact that the foster care system is completely full and CPS in general has little resources to work with. Children are only taken away in the most dire of circumstances (think children locked in their rooms for weeks at a time with shit smeared on the walls because theyre not allowed to use the restroom)

It also has to do a lot with the state, CPS in California or Massachusetts may be more stringent than CPS in Alabama or Montana, where things like corporal punishment may be viewed differently.

People also tend to have a lot of kids they can't or don't want to take care of.

I would say maybe Cody is better off at his grandparents, but again who knows if they're the same just without the camera. Ngl expecting a Disneyland prank video soon.
