Investing in youtube channels sounds risky to me. Their popularity relies on ever changing background systems and they die to internet drama and witch hunts all the time.

"investing" is a misnomer here because none of them give a shit about the end product of the channel, they're just turning it into yet another speculative minefield like property in which they can pump and dump shit like its a cheap whore or monopolize a segment of the industry as if it were a sexual fetish

"investing" in today's climate simply means pimping and whoring out whatever you can for a quick buck. These niggers will not be holding the bag 5 years from now. They want to get in now, pump the numbers, hire some useless faggots run marketing and whitewash any sense of personality away from things and then dump to the next biggest idiot.

Or at the very least show prospective investors some notion that they have half a clue about what the zoomer demographic is doing (wow look guys! we're so in touch with the nigger demographic! we just bought mr.beast shares!). They don't have to do anything of substance or of value in any of this, they just have to pretend like they're sat at the table.

If it is Private Equity what they are trying to do is make a "compelling" blob of channels they can sell as one group. I would guess it is an Ad demo play, they will own channels targeting different demos that make the entire "platform" hit the entire key demo of 18 to 49. Then they can sell in line sponsorships at a higher value since the ad buyer gets a more tailored and broader audience reach. Once the platform has grown enough they sell it on to the next guy who builds it as part of a bigger platform. My bet would be a marketing firm that wants to in house those ads to increase margin.

Remember, advertisers are Satan's own spawn and will eventually join him for eternity.

The only good thing modern Jewtube is good for is tech product reviews, bodycam footage, and music you want to listen to that's isn't on spotify or streaming sites

I honestly think it started with MatPat and Game Theory. Sure it was still an "independent" channel to a degree, but Matthew and his team really fucking knew how to game the fuck out of their videos with eye-catching thumbnails, overly long and filler-made content just to get to the point of the "theory", and a bunch of charity shit or what have you to have as many fingers in the pies for certain topics (he has "run" 5 channels up until his retirement). Now he's a politician, which is probably the natural end point for any youtuber with a following to dip their toes into the real world, for better or for worse.

I hate MrBeast too but the slopification of YouTube isn't really his fault. This is something YouTube themselves have been actively pushing towards for a long time. They punish content that isn't bland slop for the lowest common denominator. Just look at words like "unalive" and other retarded euphemisms which solely exist for the purpose of not getting your videos demonitized and buried. MrBeast and others like him are just taking advantage of this system that YouTube has created. If it weren't him it would just be somebody else.
 
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet as KF's search feature is bugging out right now. The Amazing Brando who made a series of great music parodies of NES games has trooned out.

I know that Duane and Brando had some drama years back which resulted in them breaking up at one point.


They made up after this and he deleted this video. Then they broke up again and have stayed broken up for 7 years. Given how angrily he responds to criticism there is some potential however Brando is not as active online as he used to be. I'm genuinely surprised he even decided to update his YT channel in this way as he only uploads once every 3 or so months.

OH COME ON. Gotta resist the urge to sperg out that's genuinely sad. Their Mega Man 2 and Sonic parody songs were classics back in the day. Always found it odd how little this guy tried to market himself or keep relevance considering he was ahead of his time in some ways. The songs I mentioned came out way before Arin and Dan's shitty Starbomb songs.
